The Dukeries Hotel is located in the heart of Blackpool, opposite the Winter Gardens Complex.
Score from 95 reviews Good
I liked the location as we were visiting the winter gardens .We tried to have a drink on our first night there but it was terrible so we went elsewhere .Overall it was okay for 20 pounds per person per night but it was plain to see that there is not enough staff employed to maintain a reasonable standard .
In our room there was a towel rail that was recently installed but nobody cleaned up after .There was dust everywhere in the bathroom .
Very good location. Close to Wintergardens, Tower, Promenade and shops. Staff on arrival were really friendly and helpful. Clean, basic accomodation with a very comfortable bed. We will be staying again.
Nice staff, pleasant when I booked in and checked out. Close to where I was working which helped as I worked later than I should of.
They didn't even have my room reserved and couldn't find my booking. Booked a single room for one night. Ended up with a double and single for the night. Waste. Still only charged me the price I booked at thankfully. Wifi was pretty non existent. Not good when you are trying to finish off work from your room.
Bed too soft and soggy Nowhere to put soap/gel in shower
Stuck in a time warp..bed hard and furniture dated .carpet old..en suite dated and only 1 towel.wifi didn't work..overall very poor wouldn't return again..
Decent tv, good location.
Had to pay cash though on booking it stated they accepted credit cards. Shower didn't work, Fire alarm went off in the morning, room service knocked early but didn't return, room was quite small. No wi fi and very poor internet connection
Staff on reception nice and friendly
There was no staff at bar u had to go reception to get someone to come and serve you there was no entertainment which is advertised
Friendly staff, close to attractions and shops
No parking. Décor needs updating. Beds very uncomfortable - you can feel every spring.
Staff were fantastic and helpful it was ideal for a last minute booking really pleased
No parking had to pay for a pay and display
Although parking is ltd here the fab location of this place mins your only 5 mins walk from the multi storey near debenhams and it's only 12 for 24 hrs. Reception and staff were fab and we didn't have any issues with check in or out. Didn't experience any of the facilities in the main hotel. Room ok for what it is. Head down get up go.
Rooms are basic but as said 2 lads on a football jolly it was all needed. Shower wasn't great in morning tho that's only downside.
Asked for a spare pillow and didn't get one.
It was ok but a few stags were also booked in also
near to facilities
very poor breakfast and had to pay by cash not card
Not a lot but the breakfast was good
As we had been transferred to the Melville would have been nice to know prior to arrival.A filthy room (14) that was full of dust and extremely noisy as directly above bar area. The mattress had seen better days and was completely useless, should have got rid years ago, as both my hubby and myself woke with bad backs and 3 days later still suffering. Ignorant restaurant staff who hold your food in the air for you to take off her and burn your hands on the hot plate. The hotel however would be good as a training hotel as what NOT to do in the hospitality business
Breakfast was nice and waiting staff during breakfast were friendly and accommodating. Location is central.
On arrival staff were indifferent and not particularly polite. Beds v uncomfortable - could feel the springs through. Shower didn't work - could adjust temperature and was too scalding hot to use. When we asked if they could heat up our daughter's milk we had brought along (for 30 seconds) the returned bottle was too hot to even touch - very dangerous - but handed over with a smile!! I would not recommend.
Dust in bedroom and broken light
The staff where nice. The breakfast was very good.
It would have been nice to pay by card rather than cash as it left us with nothing so had to go out to find a cash machine before we went to the theatre.
everything and everyone, polite and helpful staff food very good and everywhere clean and tidy we would visit again
our bed was much much too soft, could have done with harder mattress as we both suffer with back problems, but maybe we should have mentioned this on booking
Staff were friendly dining room nice
Carpet in bedroom badly needing cleaned pillows on bed were very flat floorboards outside room very creaky heard everyone walking past
Helpful staff Good location If you had a problem they would sort it very quickly Better than other blackpool hotels I've stayed Cheap cheerful does the job £25 a night what do you expect
Not all the rooms have been updated Some rooms are very small Very small lift just fits a single buggy in and two people Not sure if they had wifi but couldn't pick any up on list of available wifis Singal isnt that great but most of blackpool is the same A few holes in the wall And some damp / mould in places in the bathroom
It was close to the shops and seafront.
When we booked it said limited parking but on arrival we were told there wasn't any so we had to pay for 24 hours parking. Shortage of staff in the evening, no body was in the bar all the time they just kept coming off reception every now and then. Having to wait for drinks and my wife said her drink was warm even after it came out of the chiller. The hot breakfast was served on cold plates so it was only luke warm when we ate it. And there was only one pillow per person in one room. Told there was other pillows in the wardrobe but there wasn'T. And also it was a bit misleading over the breakfast because we thought you got a basic breakfast as part of the price of the rooms but we told that we had to pay £5 each for any breakfast. After staying, we wouldn't stay here again as we feel we could get better value for money somewhere else and free parking.
Pulled up outside and staff helped with cases Very helpful staff Good location
Hotel is very dated The hotel needs a complete make over. Only accept cash
Very good Location, staff members were very pleasant and helpful, clean and tidy rooms and hotel
No parking, breakfast not included, room was cramped, window didn't stay open, bed was awful to sleep on, headrest had lip on top so couldn't sit with back on bed to watch TV as was too high up. Had to sit on bed due to lack of space. Room constanly red hot - couldn't turn off radiator in one room other Turned off however still red hot. Thin walls so heard all neighbours.
Was very close to the beach and black pool tower. Decent breakfast but had to pay extra.
Maids only came once on our 4 nights to change sheets ect. Bathroom wasn't cleaned properly on arrival. If we wanted dinner at the hotel then we had to book in advance and then go to theere other hotel.
