Good service, good breakfast, friendly bar, nice bed linen and shower room. Room offered was too small and didn't have a window! Had to reject it and move to Browns Hotel for a more expensive room at the back, wich had window but could be looked directly into from the beer garden. It was also a very small room the decor was not to my taste with huge, 6ft, photographic image of 'mother and daughter' on wall wich was slightly off putting to say the least. It had no wardrobe which one would have expected at over £100 per night.

Good location at a reasonable cost. There was no housekeeping, so the bed was not made and no clean cups were supplied for our second night. Noisy as our room was right above the bar. Small room. Fixtures and fittings a bit cheap.

Rooms were good, staff very friendly and accommodating to our group of 16, 12 of who stayed at the pub. We had lovely pizzas for lunch and a great atmosphere in the evening with an Irish band providing the entertainment

The room was quite nice. It was well appointed and comfortable.I particularly liked the friendliness of the staff, and also the friendliness of the people of Laugharne. We were made very welcome and notning seemed to be too much trouble. Oue nights in the bar, both in the Mariners and in Browns, were extremely enjoyable. The settee in the room was far too high from the ground to be able to sit in comfortably. Also, the windows were not in good condition, one would only open part way, and the other wouldn't open at all.

Due to short notice on our part, unable to secure booking at Browns Hotel next door. Having stayed at the the NewThree Mariners we did not feel we had missed out in any way. A lively yet relaxed Pub with an excellent room and the most comfortable bed I have slept in for years! Huge ensuite, tasteful comtemporary decor. Bit of late night noise from pub, but hell just proved the town was alive and people were enjoying life? Will certainly stay again.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was lovely and the waitress was helpful. However, the night before the hotel around the corner was opened (I believe this was a sister hotel) and our hotel was very busy and later became quite rowdy. My daughter and her friend were staying on the first floor and so were my parents and the noise/swearing from the drinkers in the hotel went on until 3.00 am, which was no good because we had to be up at 8.00 am to attend a wedding.

The whole intention of coming to the New Three Mariners was to celebrate a friends 70th birthday. Laugharne is a beautiful place. We regret part of the weekend was spoilt for a number of reasons. Mainly the lack of thought and the lack of presentation at the Hotel to the needs of he guest On our arrival approx 15.00 hrs we were met by a member of staff who was quite pleasant, The room keys were not immediately available as the previous guests had not handed them over.. But they duly arrived and we were shown to our room. The Bedroom has no windows, no chairs were available to sit down on and the room was uncomfortably hot.. The small unit for storing our underclothes and socks etc was minus two front wheels and Z bed left in the corner was unnecessary. The arrival of the Tea in a cup with a tea bag, no milk or sugar immediately available and no cutlery on the table. [spoons] a Pot of tea would have been acceptable. Allthough very basic, breakfast was adequate, but left much to be desired. No orange juice? There was a strong smell of cleaning fluid pervading through the room which also met with our disapproval. In the room adjacent there was a considerable amount of furniture stacked up which could easily have been hidden away by the use of curtains. During the course of the night there was a considerable amount of noise coming from downstairs, including the banging of a door and what sounded like someone running up and down the stairs kept me awake. We requested to speak with the Manager of the hotel. we were informed he was not available and on his way to a meeting in Cardiff.. A member of staff contacted the Manager and he spoke with my guests Mr and Mrs Gibbins who outlined the problems they had experienced during the night. Later we were were given accommodatiion next door at Browns for the Saturday night.. This did not alter the arrangements for breakfast on Sunday morning and the same ritual occured. We were very disappointed. We feel that unless you are able to provide a better service to your paying guests they/we will not be able to recommend to others. Diane and David Hughes

Excellent location, particularly for the event I was attending which was about 1 minute away! Although a pub room, there was no problem with noise and no intrusion from the pub at all. I no longer drink but for someone who enjoys a drink in a nice pub atmosphere this would be a great location. Room had a good TV with lots of channels plus a very clean and comfortable bed. I didn't have brekkie but it looked and smelled really good! I was travelling by public transport and the bus to and from Carmarthen stopped right on the spot. Room was a bit claustrophobic as it had no window - the only window was a Velux in the bathroom attached. I kept this window open as it was very muggy weather and kept the bathroom door open to the bedroom. Some of the rooms' features a bit worn and tired.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is lovely for walking and for sight seeing. Any problems are easily addressed if you speak to the Landlord himself. Very pleasant people. It was in a lovely old quaint village but although it is a hotel is still used very much as a local pub which in itself can have its draw backs with lat night noise etc. Also the menu is only pizza's which although were extremely nice and unusual and obviously not your normal everyday type, a little bit more of a variety would have been nice.

Room was good and comfortable. Excellent breakfast! Best Poached egg for years! The Pizza only menu was limiting! Think I was overcharged for my room by £10.00 over quoted rate which is always a bit of a disappointment! Also no one seemed to know I was booked in to stay so my arrival was a bit of a shock!

I liked the lower cost option and it was friendly and comfortable The breakfast. It looked and tasted pre cooked. I couldn't eat half of it as it was too tough. I've had softer steaks.

The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. It is a lively pub used by locals who were also very welcoming to visitors. The room price included a cooked breakfast. The pub is located in the village of Laugharne within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, an old castle and tourist spots such as Dillon Thomas' boat house. The pub was open on Friday and Saturday until the early hours of the morning so it was quite noisy in our room. The pub was very busy in the evening and there were very few bar staff on duty which meant a wait to be served. At one point there was only one person serving behind the bar and cooking pizzas out the back.
