Centrally located in village of Laugharne, good breakfast
Was a bit confused about paying (which I was meant to do at nearby Brown's hotel). Some details poor like wobbly toilet seat.
Good location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Unable to control radiator other than turning completely off.
Good location. Very quiet in the morning/day.
Difficult for parking but thats a common problem in Laugharne.
All fine apart from the toilet.
Toilet didn't work, for a pretty pricey room you would expect to have the basics in working order.
Staff were friendly, rooms were as shown on the website and the atmosphere was just as lively as described.
The bathrooms only had small fan heaters so took a little time to warm up.
Tha staff went that extra mile
It was quite expensive
Clean and tidy, staff were so friendly and very helpful, I was able to drop in early to collect the keys and check in before leaving for the wedding I later returned to find the bar and restaurant full to the brim. Everyone enjoying. Staff spotted me immediately and showed me to my room, the helped me with a local taxi firm to get me back from the wedding later that evening. Breakfast was outstanding, delicious and plenty to choose from. My room facilities included a selection of teas and coffee's hairdryer, alarm clock and even a fan! as this was a particularly hot evening. I will most certainly be returning for the price and quality it's money well spent for a night or weekend away.
Comfortable beds with enough space to move about. An extra upholstered bench / sofa could be used as extra bed. Very helpful staff and a good breakfast.
No little extras such as tissues, hand cream. Soap was secured to wall and difficult to extract over basin and in shower. Tea & coffee supplied but no small snack or biscuit.
Friendly staff good breakfast
I liked the comfort of the beds.
The room was a bit cramped. We had also requested a quiet room on Booking.com but were given a room over the bar area where a dj was playing late into the night. It was so noisy we requested a room change and the second room was fine. It is a shame our request was not taken into account initially. Also I had requested wheat free bread at breakfast and this was not offered.
Friendly welcome and accommodating staff. Lively place to stay
Good location Nice breakfast in Brown's
Very noisy Bottles collected at 5:30 am
Comfortable bed With a face lift, the Mariners could be excellent.
Loved the quirkiness of the whole set up. Manager very friendly and helpful. Bar full of locals and noisy; we loved this but some people might not find it as entertaining as we did. Breakfast rather haphazard; shortage of cups and no pots of tea or coffee - but the friendliness and welcome more than compensated.
May not have enjoyed experience if travelling with family but with a friend on a relaxing weekend we just enjoyed it all.
Laugharne is such a pretty and tiny place, and this local pub is in the centre of it. I feel really welcomed in this place. Many comments said this could be a bit noisy, but I found the noise ok, probably because that was not a weekend.
It's not the best value price during my travel. But it's still ok, and there're just not many choices in this little town. The interior decoration is indeed not very delicate. The wifi connection, as many places in Wales, was just... not working. Quite annoying honestly. Please be prepared to lose contact with the outside world.
Good location, very clean and good value. Quite a lot of stairs to rooms so not ideal for those with have difficulty with mobility.
Staff Entertainment Location
receptionist very helpful, breakfast very nice but a bit of a wait!
confusion over booking in as this had to be done at Browns next door and there was no indication of this at the Mariners which was locked up at check in time of 3pm. we had a wedding to get to and time was tight, when we thought of trying next door the receptionist kindly took us to the wedding venue. bedroom small and bathroom a bit shabby. slightly overpriced for type of room.
A very cosy bar with log fire and ambience. Tasty lunchtime pizzas and an excellent breakfast alongside a good choice of beers. Easy walking distance of the lovely coastal path and other bars and restaurants. Friendly, efficient and helpful staff.
In contrast to some rooms our room had a tiny bathroom and there was no hot water from the shower.
Room was lovely and staff were very friendly
Quite noisy, from bar and road.
