A club works under the Hotel it gets VERY noisy during the night!
We had to knock on a door to find someone to book us in, but we liked it all. Nice and informal, and the room was much better than we expected for the price.
I liked the room it was modern and warm
The bed was very uncomfortable it was like sleeping on a stone also the music blasted till 2 am and the walls are paper thin you could hear people in the next room
Music was too loud had to check in another hotel
it's a pub/disco rather than a hotel. there is loud music until late in the night and walls are extremely thin, therefore it's like having a club in your room. no way to sleep before 2.30am, Monday-Sunday
Great staff. Nicely renovated room. Location near city centre.
Reception not permanently staffed, but not a great problem as staff was very observant when I was seeking help. Be observant that the noice level from the pub below the hotel rooms may be high during weekends.
adelle was extremely helpful prior to me checking in and during my brief stay
I have stayed in hotels in Manchester for simialr prices of far lower quality. Friendly staff who will try to accommodate if you want a quieter room, close to city centre with bus stops right outside.
Great place and great location and friendly staff
After I checked in and went out for a couple of hours. I came back to find a drag queen getting ready in my room! I really just laughed. No harm done. Was a genuine hiccup on behalf of reception. Just lucky I didn't have any luggage or valuables left in the room though and I was moved to another, better room. A story to cherish.
The location was ideal for the venue we wanted to attend, only a couple of hundred yards away. This was the sole reason for booking this place over any others.
The room (Number 9) was barely big enough to house the double bed, meaning that you could hardly walk around it. As a result, there was next to no room to put things like suitcases especially when unpacked. The room would be more suitable as a single bed room. The toilet seat lid was missing. But the bathroom was good overall. The bed mattress was how old? Very saggy in the middle. The main issue: the paper-thin walls. I'm not exagerrating in any sense when I say you can hear the people in the next room breaking wind, the walls are that thin. Ridiculous. You could hear everything going on, and therefore they could hear what we were doing, to the point where I was convinced there was an open connecting door between the rooms. And the other noise. I appreciate the venue is a pub, with music. But music that is loud enough that it rattles the cups and other items in the room? Are you kidding me? And this went on til way past the advertised 2.30am time, it was getting on for past 3.15am. Then there was the added "bonus" that after the venue had closed, we had the shutter doors slamming up and down and hundreds of empty bottles being poured into a skip, smashing and rattling, at around 4am. So all in all, with the music, the endless noises from other rooms, and the post-closure cleanup, it ended up that we got around 1hrs sleep that night. Definitely won't be returning here.
Big room with a comfortable bed. Location is great, close to the city center and Picadilly station.
Absolutely noisy hotel in the second floor of a gay pub. I couldn't sleep until 3am due to a concert downstairs. The music was very, very loud.
Brilliant location, great bed, ensuite is good, staff friendly
Shared bathroom certain rooms, noisy at night on weekends
Very accommodating staff, friendly and went over and above to make our stay a brilliant experience.
Close to the center og art museum
Disco-like musik is very loud until midnight hours
Staff & helpfulness
Paper walls! We stayed on a Monday when there is no show on & pub closes at half ten. Hotel seemed very quiet until about 1am , when a group of three lads came to the room next door. They were drunk & carried on the party & you can hear EVERY word, the walls are that thin. Yes, it is near the village, but there was no noise from there once everything closed. Noise is ok up to a point but you do expect it to die down & people to have some consideration & not be screeching & screaming at the top of their voices for hours at 1,2,3 am... After a while I politely asked them to keep the noise down as it was approaching 3am. They were polite, but there is no night reception & the noise continued. About 3.15 a drunk naked man knocked on our door after getting lost & this was the last straw. We got up & drove home at 4.30am & went to bed when we got home at 7am. Lovely hotel & lovely staff, stay here if you are up for a party, but don't expect ANY sleep! We like a party as much as anyone but 3am on a Monday? No thanks!
Very very noisy through out the night. Basically the rooms are directly about a cabaret, disco, karaoke bar which is open every night of the week well in to the early hours. I was actually offered earplugs at the reception! Also breakfast is not the norm. Had to go looking for someone to get the breakfast I had ordered. No one was around at 8.15 am.
Location Good quality sheet
Wifi did not work Too noisy uncomfortable mattress
very good hotel with very good staff
The room was huge and very comfortable and cleaned everyday we were there. As we were on a tight budget we were eating pot noodles so the staff kindly left some forks and spoons for us while we were out. The location was perfect.
The staff and people was so lovely and helpfull
Everytime I took a breathe my bed creaked
Callum and the rooms were clean
Location to cc and place was clean
Equipment cheap. Could be done out really well
If your looking for a place to hold your bag and sleep after a night out that's also in a good location then its great.
Booked a Quadruple Room which in the picture shows 1 double bed and 2 singles but we ended up getting 2 double beds. No lock on the bathroom door which wasn't a problem for me and friends but should be mentioned.
Location. Modern look room with good ensuite bathroom. Decent size bed. Value for central location.
Noise. Absent reception staff.
Staff were brill couldnt complain at all
