Perfect place to stay if your having a party weekend away or something! Great location! If your looking for somewhere relaxing this isn't it! But perfect for 1 or 2 nights of drunken fun!!! Great friendly staff who made us very welcome! Would deffo stay here again!! Gay Friendly but it has to be!!! I'm straight and stated here with friends and had a wicked time!! Great value for money as well!! 5 of us stayed :) thanks!!! That after 2 hours sleep they were emptying bottle bins next to our room! But that wasn't the hotel it was the club next door.

The place was 10 minutes walk (even less) from the station and town center. Very confortable. Not recommendable for family with kids, they have a pub/disco downstairs so it's very loud during the nights and days. Also it's just in front of a very popular disco, which means more music and people talking at the streets until late night.

Comfortable, clean hotel room in city centre location. Perfect for a city trip / late night out. Can be noisy as bar downstairs is open until 2am.

The room was nice and had all you required there was even bottled water at no extra cost, a rarity anywhere The location was great we were going to a concert so all was within walking distance with plenty of food choice in the immediate vicinity A little noisy but then we should've expected that in City Centre, the room would benefit greatly with triple glazing

It was very comfortable, great facilities and had very friendly approachable staff. It's ideal for people looking to be close to nightclubs and the city centre. Only downside is the fact it is slap-bang on Canal Street which is rather noisy most evenings.

Staff were friendly and room was cheap for location. 3 twin beds were requested yet were given double and a single, bathroom door didn't close which made things difficult, room was not adequately supplied

Very friendly staff, room was clean and spacious. It was noisy above the bar Princess Street. We went down for a drink and a bit of karaoke and had a great time...If you cant beat em...join em. Would have liked the third bed off the floor and two pillows would have been nice but staff bought a heater to the room as we were a bit chilly so all good really.

A warm welcome, superb location for a night out on Canal Street, cleanliness of the room, no hassle checking in - we'll be back! I didn't dislike this, but you should be aware they charge £20 for your key (cash only) which they refund upon departure.

The hotel was new in Charles Dickens´ times. Gay clubs all around, noize until 2.30 A.M. from everyday´s discoteque and from the gay pairs after it. Water drainage in the bathroom didn´t work.

Apart from the location and the cleanliness of the room there was not a lot else going for the establishment. Ideal though for a gay tourist wanting action as it's right on the doorstep of The Village. Basically it is a "Pub with rooms" Karoke on the first night went on till 2am as did the disco on the second night. Inadequate soundproofing from the downstairs party events to the bedrooms on the next floor needs attention. The most serious concern was the confusing fire escape signage which directed you to a locked door leading into the bar when in fact it should be directed in the opposite direction. The bedside clock/alarm/radio was broken which I drew to the attention of one of the staff. It was not replaced. The accomodation needs some money spending on it. As there is no staff attending until 8am it is impossible to check out before that time as there is a £20 key deposit if you wished to make an early start back to London as I did.

Camera abbastanza pulita, un po' rumorosa perchè vicina alle scale, le camere sono sopra al bar, per cui fino a notte si sente la musica. Adatta per un soggiorno breve senza troppe pretese.

Location This was not really a hotel. It was a bar with very basic and flimsy walled bedrooms in a gay karaoke pub.Fine if you are in the mood to party and the staff were very nice but definitely not if you need any sort of privacy and sleep. The neighbouring room mates leave nothing to the imagination and if they are asleep the traffic outside is bad. Not suitable for children.

It was easy to access and was ideal for our night out. Good price too. Warm and nice environment. theres wasn't nothing I didn't like about the hotel.. however if you are wishing to go to bed and it be quiet.. it wont be until around 4am.. apart from that the hotel is a good overnight stay and it saves taxi money elsewhere :-) if you are out on canal street

The staff were friendly and the location was perfect for going into the city centre and having a night out down Canal Street. There was no lock on the bathroom door and no plug in the sink. The bedding had a stain on it that showed it hadn't been washed after the previous people had stayed so some improvements could be made there.

“Location is excellent, right in the centre of town and only a few minutes walk from the Arndale Centre and the bars of Canal St. Good breakfast, a wide selection of hot and cold food, and the bar staff are friendly, though the drinks prices are high.” James, Solihull |
