Ideal for all travellers
Just outside bath great for a stopover on are way to dorset. Really comfortable room and bed was excellent. Breakfast next day was great and with good portion would stay again if down that way.
Fabulous bathroom - almost the size of the bedroom with large rain shower and separate bath. Very nice room, beautifully presented, with great coffee machine in the room and a vey comfy bed.
A little noisy being so close to the road. Also in the morning a real pong of rotten eggs in the downstairs bar area as we came down for breakfast. Apparently it was the dishwasher being cleaned!
The food was good but fellow guest were drunk and kept us up for a good part of the night it ended up with the police taking them away from the premises
The room and bathroom was big and so lovely.
There was no airconditioning in the room so it was unbearably hot as we went the last week of August and it was a hot weekend.
The breakfast was satisfactory and the entire place was very clean.
BOX is a good 20 minute drive out of Bath city center, which is not ideal for a bath city getaway. The Northey Arms charges a large sum of money for a very standard room and the location of The Northey is right next to a very busy main road. I spent the entire night overly hot and hearing lorries and cars drive by on a fast and busy road. I would not recommend staying the night.
Comfortable room, great bathroom, excellent food
Bathroom was modern and clean. Room was ok.
Service was fair but could have been better in terms of customer service. The manager appeared grumpy and stressed. The cleaning lady was the friendliest member of staff we met. In addition the exterior of the pub was pretty scruffy; some weeding wouldn't go amiss.
Comfortable room and facilities Food and bar good Plenty of parking
Breakfast not served until 8am and slow. Fine if on holiday trip and you want a cooked breakfast but limited choice otherwise - no pastries. Not good if on business. Restaurant service very variable, seemed to be no interest in up-selling. Compressor cutting in and out all night so had to keep bedroom window shut. Bathroom lights kept turning off whilst in the shower but otherwise good shower. Not sure about previously used bathrobes, even if they were washed.
What did I like? Everything. The room was perfect, the staff were friendly and welcoming and the food in the restaurant was some of the best me and my girlfriend have ever had. So good that we have just booked to revisit....
Decor of room and lovely big bathroom
Couldn't have the window open as large noisy party of people in garden Was very hot but no fan which would have been useful
Unable to leave window open due to road noise. May be better if staying longer than a night to ask for bedroom at back. One of gents serving breakfast wasn't the friendliest.
Nice friendly staff. Excellent room with beautiful bathroom. Lovely evening meal. Comfortable sleep.
Very helpful and attentive staff, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent - would definitely stay again and recommend 10/10
The staff and services at The Northey far exceeded expectations and every opportunity was taken to make our stay wonderful. The cleaning crew even left us a little towel elephant! Wonderful service and would definitely stay again!
The room was beautiful and clean in a perfect location to explore the surrounding area! Perfect stay :)
Antonia waitress was efficient and charming
Nice and friendly atmosphere.
Rooms next to road could be a bit noise at times during rush hour.
the building out side and the bar and restaurant area looked good, the soup we had as a bar snack was very good, however the chunk of china missing out of the cup that i was given for my coffee in the morning soon wiped away any pleasant thoughts
The so called excutive room was above a cellar with the fan kicking in and out all night, the paint was peeling off of the ceiling due to damp in a small area, light bubs not all working in the open plan wash up area, the toilet opening directly into the bedroom is a complete no no as the doors donot close tight together. certainly not worth £130.00 pounds a night, would not recommend , and to cap it all off one of the Managers told us that their standards are as good as the 5 star Lucknam Park, you really need to get out more and try visiting Lucknam Park , dont worry about taking plenty of pen and paper as your comparision list will be able to be written on the back of a very small stamp
Lovely room with a fantastic bathroom. We had a meal in the restuarant in the evening which was first class.
The only minor downside was the bed was a little soft for us.
This accommodation was very good and comfortable and the bathroom was large and very well presented. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The facilities were superb, also had a little trouble with the music in the bar coming through the floor but spoke with barman and he was extremely understanding and generally fantastic. Strongly recommend this place
A little close to the road but obviously that can't be helped. The couple next door had loud bang bang time but luckily for us and probably sadly for them it was only short lasting.
Really enjoyed our stay Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again!
Beautiful room and the food was amazing. Much recommended. Only a £15 taxi from the centre of Bath too.
Location for what I needed that night. Food.
Room 4 is a bit noisy. Next to road and over pub speaker (which can't be helped I suppose since it is a pub) which made it all a bit of a disturbed night. But otherwise all good
