Very comfortable and clean. Staff were lovely-very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Good breakfasts and the food in the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Well-situated for getting into Edinburgh-a 10 minute journey and the bus-stops were just outside the hotel. Plentiful off-road car parking. Will definitely stay again.

Very friendly, willing and patience staff. Everyone helpful. Easy parking. Good food, flexable with portion size. Smart staff. Love the ' no abusive language signs'. Would use again. Only blinds at the bedroom windows - would be better with curtains as well (or instead off)

It was exactly what was pictured when I was searching for a place to stay. Spacious and had everything I needed, including a good selection of hearty breakfast options. I'd have liked to be able to turn up the heating in my room, it was a little chilly.

The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cost of bed and breakfast was £50 for 2 people and I couldn't fault what we got for our money. The room was spacious. We had our evening meal there too and it was good food at a good price and there dining room was lovely. As we were lucky to have excellent weather when we stayed, it showed off how lovely the hotel grounds were, with good outside seating area. The hotel is next to the road so can be a bit noisy in the peak times. The room was hot and I had to open windows which didn't help the traffic noise. The bed was not that good, but a good mattress topper would cure that.

Easy to find once we arrived in Edinburgh, and with the bus stop right outside the front door, it was very easy to get around the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful and welcoming. The rooms were outstanding and a very nice suprise for the price, we all slept very well. Breakfast was served at a resonable time and was delicious! We chose the hotel partly because it had a bar, as we had a teenager with us so staying out late in town was out of the question, the bar had a great atmosphere and the locals were very friendly. I would definatley recommend this hotel to all my friends and family, we left Scotland feeling like we had made new friends thanks to Richard and his staff. The shower in room 3 was a little tempremental on the first morning!

Our stay was very enjoyable, with the staff being very friendly & helpful. The location was great as it was just around the corner of where we needed to be. The twin room was very spacious and had everything we needed, though the tv could have done with being bigger.
