Breakfast excellent. Very good restaurant
The young lady who served breakfast was brilliant, friendly, chirpy, efficient - all in the right measure
The paper boy broke his finger and didn't deliver- why couldn't someone fromth hotel go to the papershop and fetch them. I asked for the bathroom light to be fixed as I couldn't see in there- we left twenty four hours later and it still hadn't been looked at
Friendly and helpful staff Nice décor Clean and comfortable beds Nice river view from the window Good food
Not having central heating at home I did find it a little too warm but that's just me
Very accommodating and helpful staff. Good location.
Due to draughty windows the room was very cold. Extra heater had to be provided upon request. But nonetheless, the temperature in the bathroom was about 10 degrees. No way to take shower. Since breakfast is served from 7:30 and I was departing earlier than that, I had requested breakfast to go. Only to find out upon departure that nothing had been prepared...
Food could ha e been better
Food was nice large breakfast.staff nice.close to town.
All the flights of stairs we had to go up to get to our room.then to find our door entry card would not open.suffer breathing problem otherwise I would of been ok
Breakfast variety and fresh produce. Would like tea coffee pots on table not waitress service
Room 11 was freezing never got any warmer over 2 hours Bathroom claustraphobic
Comfort and excellent location staff very good and helpful
Location and parking, easy to find. Large comfortable rooms.
Probably only a blip - but when we pulled back the quilt to get into bed - it had either been slept in previously - or had not been made up. Sheets not tucked in and undersheet not attached!! Staff apologetic blamed a new member of staff - had a complete bed change for our second night.
Night porter was excellent - we arrived at 2.30am - Beds comfortable and clean. Good breakfast - nice location.
Nowhere to pug kettle in - no tissues in the tissue holder - mirror cleaned badly.
Staff interaction. Excellent breakfast
Room was very cold. I complained within 10 minutes of arriving and was moved to another, slightly warmer room. I was out for the whole of the next day, returning to a freezing cold room. The heating had been off, I complained, but even on the following morning it was insufficient lay warm. A major problem is single glazed windows which do not shut tightly. The external temperature was also very cold. In my view, apart rom Reception, the whole hotel heating was sub standard.
Nothing to complain about
Stylish restaurant decor. Good food.
Friendly and helpful reception staff. Convenient car park. Restaurant service was efficient and friendly. Food (evening meal and breakfast) was very good. We'll book earlier next time to get a room with a river view, as we know it's quieter.
Stayed in room 3, which initially smelled of fish and felt sauna-like. We switched off the heating and opened the windows. The kitchen and hotel extraction systems are directly under the corridor. Unfortunately, we didn't get much sleep as they run all night and are extremely noisy!
Spacious, quiet bedroom. Clean bathroom with bath and shower, and good supply of hot water. Hearty fried breakfast served on piping hot plates. Friendly efficient service from staff. Good central location near to restaurants, park and river. Good comfy bed with crisp clean sheets Plenty of parking.
At £95 per night for a single person it was rather pricey for what it was. Grubby bedroom carpet. Poor bedroom view overlooking demolition site next door. Decor in common areas rather garish. Orange juice at breakfast very watery, more like squash. Sports bar with big televisions not really in keeping.
Breakfast could have been warmer.
Excellent cooked breakfast, best I've had in a long time. Location was lovely on the side of the river and very handy for what seemed like dozens of indian, chinese and thai restaurants. Very friendly staff, inc our breakfast waitress and the receptionist.
FRIENDLY STAFF, VERY HELPFUL
VERY MEAN ON THE BREAKFAST ONLY 1 RASHER OF BACON, 1 SMALL SAUSAGE, HAD TO ASK FOR MORE. BETTER LAST YEAR WITH BUFFET BREAKFAST
Staff friendly Good location Ground floor modern and clean Good choice for breakfast
Black out curtain lining missing in places TV unit/remote difficult to use and no instructions Heavy brown furniture and shabby armchair upholstery Towel rail not working & room chilly Obscure glass in windows Could do with more refurb as has potential so wish I'd paid more for better!
Top class breakfast and friendly staff. Free wi-fi (and computer available)
Room 29 above kitchen. Windows wouldn't close properly. Kitchen fan noise annoying. TV too small and mounted too high.
The music themed decor and dining room were very good as was the cooked to order (seemingly) breakfast. I'd stay again
The room was a little too warm on arrival but opening the window solved that over time
The breakfast was really good clean food, I had the full English and my wife had fruit and yoghurt, there was plenty of choice
I didn't like the touch screen tea / coffee machine, but that might just be an age thing
We liked the staff, they were very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the shower hot and powerful. Breakfast was good, with a lot of options to choose from.
Noise from park of a night kept us awake. Also there was a humming noise coming from somewhere in the hotel which was annoying. The traffic was loud and our room was right by the bus stop .
Lovely location overlooking the river. Staff were extremely helpful. Breakfast was good with a selection of continental and cooked options. Enjoyed the chocolate croissants fresh out of the oven.
Nothing. Good value hotel situated in a lovely town.
The staff very good
Breakfast very poor, Way over priced certainly not valve for money
