Warm welcome great service good value for money friendly locals good home cooked food (especially the pies) lovely fire amazing desire to please customers
Not being able to get a meal after a very long journey only if were to have it there straight away at 5.30pm which was not good for us.
We have stayed here several times.Breakfast is better than any other hotel we have stayed at, many more expensive than the oak.
Nice pub with open fire and good beers! Excellent breakfast
Very clean, comfortable room. Excellent choice for breakfast. Dinner fantastic value for money and huge portion sizes. Well woryh a stay
No complaints about anything
room was warm and quiet, excellent breakfast, very welcoming, have stayed several times, had problem with room on one occasion which was dealt with promptly.
Outside of the building dark in the evening, needs a bit more lighting, taxi driver thought it was closed.
Food and great value for money.
Room in need of a little maintenance, but good for the money.
Lovely old pub. Accomodation was separate, quiet and comfortable. Breakfasts in the pub were good.
No information for checking in, had to do it at bar so had minimal information. Not a friendly atmosphere. Some problems with plumbing.
the location was great easy access to Coventry.
The room had a terrible smell when I went in (smelt like public toilets ) I think it was the cleaning materials they used. the carpet was dirty and worn, knobs missing from drawers, bed very old and the sheets were definitely not white.....
Friendly staff at all times. Excellent food in the evening and at breakfast. Clean tidy room. An excellent choice for a cheap overnight stay before visiting Warwick castle.
the food in the oak was out of this world the staff were very friendly and helpful i would recommend the oak to friends and family very easy to find the accommodation was next to the restaurant so no noise a perfect place
food, staff, clean
mattress, noise from a machine all night
Wrong address shown on booking confirmation took a long time to locate hotel. Should have been Coventry Road Baginton not Coventry. Pillows under pillow slip badly stained. Wall heater not working. No hot water before 7am.
The food was excellent, simple but good quality. The staff were very helpful. The bed was very comfortable The shower worked well, plenty of water pressure.
The room heater didn't work. There was a spider's web around the ceiling light. The TV was too small and not an LCD type. The bath panel was cracked and there was some mould as the base of the wall tiles.
dog friendly rooms breakfast, restaurant polite and friendly staff excellent value for money
Room was cold, staff apologised and said they will remedy it.
Everything about the Oak especially as we had a dog with us Friday eve meal was very good and breakfast on both days excellent.
Nothing not to dislike
Staff Food Location Rooms
Tiny bath Hard bed
Food was good
Staff were very helpful even though Booking.com had only passed in the booking of 1 room not 2 as we had booked. Ended up sharing 1 room on a camp bed as no spare rooms!
Attractive hotel with inviting bar/restaurant area. Evening meal was lovely with a good menu choice. Breakfast was excellent. Evening staff were pleasent.
The room was cold and smelt damp. The radiator didnt work and fell off the wall. Towel rail and toilet seat broken. Took ages to run a bath as no pressure in the taps. Mattress needs replacing as spent night rolling into middle of bed. The lady serving breakfast made me feel uncomfortable as she was so unfriendly. It certainly wasnt service with a smile. I wasnt expecting an amazing room as the cost was only £45 which included breakfast but with a little upkeep and maintenance and a welcoming temperature i would of recommended this hotel to other family members who will travel to warwick to visit my daughter at uni. However, i will recommend my family pay more for a comfortable night elsewhere. I would recommend this hotel for a one night stay if you are on a tight budget and not too concerned about the room.
The breakfast room is a bit dingy for a breakfast setting. Perhaps they could consider a sunnier room.
Breakfast good, slept well, staff very good as usual.
On this occasion we had a room with a bath and hand held shower, instead of a shower over the bath with standing room.
