Food, £5.95 for a mixed grill!! Good Beer Cheaper than Travelodge/Premier Inn that I normally stop in, All needs for overnight stop over. Really got to agree with Richards comments from Derby May 2013, currently can only pay by cash, so ensure you have enough with you. Tv in room a little small, but then it made me join others in bar with Very Big tv

Able to come and go as you pleased. Room was too hot, even with the window open.

The price was very low. The room was clean but basic. The staff were friendly. The bedding was poor--the bottom sheet didn't fit and came off in the night, the pillows were dreadful. There was no bedside light.

The location was good for me with easy access from the A14. Food is okay though frozen and tinned food used. The room was better than my last visit though again the heating was faulty with the radiator in the bedroom not working but the bathroom was on full always. Bedside light had no light fittings so main light had to be used at all times. The bed was very creaky and well past it's best. But for £20 pounds it was cheap.

We changed our booking as we arrived, to one night, and the staff were understanding and polite. We asked for breakfast, and the owner's wife got up on her day off to do it. She was very helpful , and the breakfast was tasty and not expensive.

The food was excellent - we had rump steaks perfectly cooked for the one meal we had. The prices were very reasonable. The pub area has recently been refurbished and was very pleasant for sitting and chatting through the evening. The room was clean with comfortable beds. If we are planning on staying in the area again The Kings Arms will be the first place we try for accomodation.

I am not used to staying in hotels, I have never needed to in the past. I was working in Corby. For the 1st night my company booked me into a 'travel lodge'. I went on line to find something very less scareily impersonal! I was lucky to find the Kings Arms. The room (& en-suite.. shower bit) was as nice as, but homelier. The food was really good. and it felt like I was a guest in a family, and their friends home.
