atmosphere friendly staff, although overworked the food

bedroom furniture & fittings, although beds were comfortable lack of resident staff breakfast marmalade (!)

The food was excellent, original and good portions that were not too big! The chef was happy to make me porridge although it was not on the menu. I liked the homemade preserves and pastries.

The room was very noisy as it was on the road junction. Although we were given fresh milk when we arrived it had gone off by the morning. The flush in the loo needs attention as it often took 2 or 3 flushes to clear.

Location to Bath without the city prices .Food was excellent.

Exceptionally friendly staff who made us very welcome. Amazing food, well priced. Lovely cosy pub with burning wood stoves and beautiful Christmas decorations. Thoughly enjoyed our pre Christmas break.

Cold shower! There was no hot water when I got up for a shower.

Very friendly staff and the food was excellent. The Oakhill Inn is situated within the village and the atmosphere was relaxing amongst the regular village folk

Not a dislike but on arrival we were given a flask of milk!! which I thought a bit odd, but taking into consideration the location and nature of the pub its quite fitting and wasn't a problem at all - there were not fridge facilities in the rooms - hence the flask, but being so friendly and relaxing the staff would not hesitate to house anything that needed refridgeration- especiallyduring the very hot months!! We would not hesitate to stop at the Inn again, but our friends had room 4 and the bathroom was a cupboard - so if you do book ASK not to be put in room 4 - we thought that the cost of the stay was let down by this - but other than that we couldn't of wished for a better weekend - NOT SUITABLE FOR A ROMANTIC STAY THOUGH!!! in my opinion....

Breakfast was excellent, we didn't have evening meal but it looked and smelt great. Room was lovely, nicely furnished. Late check in time was handy. Staff very friendly

The location was excellent. The food was of a high standard.

Some door/cupboards knobs were loose which was a small nuisance.

The Inn is situated on a very busy intersection; I was woken every day by traffic anytime from 4.30am onwards. My window was dirty; a curtain was dangling from its hooks [I fixed that myself]; the bathroom door handle was inclined to come away in my hand; the towel ring in the bathroom fell to the floor when I hung a towel on it; not all the bar/serving staff were as attentive as they should have been. There is far better accommodation available in far better situations for far less.

Great place, very nice staff & excellent food

Very friendly and helpful staff - great homely atmosphere with superb food. Breakfast was exceptional quality and choice as were evening meals. Atmosphere in the bar was very nice, relaxed but with the buzz of locals as well as hotel guests.

Room was little noisy due to construction of building - but if you want old world country charm you can't have total quiet from trafic and downstairs bar.

room is slightly run down, but someone cannot expect a modern hotel room in an charming old pub

This was a lovely place to stay. The welcome was warm and friendly, the rooms spotless and very comfortable and the food was superb. I'm still smiling when I recall the slow roast lamb! We travelled with two children, who had their own room with interconnecting doors to ours, which was a perfect arrangement. All in all, a very pleasant stay and we hope to visit again.

Our 3 night stay at the oakhill inn was comfortable and relaxed, the staff were very helpful and the breakfasts were excellent. We look forward to our next stay when we are visiting relatives in the area again.

I ordered surperior room from Booking dot com paid for this and was told when I arrived that this was not available. Help

è una vecchia locanda con pub, ristorante e stanze per dormire. Si respira un'aria un pò retrò. La cittadina è a 30 minuti da bath, nella campagna inglese. Camere con vista sulla loro chiesetta e cimitero locale. Bella l'ambientazione e l'aria autentica che si respira!

La colazione non era il massimo. Essendo gli unici ospiti presenti, l'hotel non si è sprecato molto nel presentare la colazione. Ci aspettavamo qualcosa in piu' di marmellata, pane tostato e caffèlatte, soprattutto considerato il costo della camera e il fatto che abbiamo pagato anticipato 2 settimane prima del nostro arrivo!

Inn an einer lauten ,vielbefahrenen Straße,die gerade hier bergab führt. Das Zimmer war ein 100 Pfund Mißverständnis : abgegriffenes Mobiliar,Wohnmobilgröße des Zimmers,Waschbecken von DIN A4 - Größe.Im Bad konnte man sich buchstäblich nicht umdrehen. Das Zimmer entsprach nicht der Abbildung des gebuchten Zimmers und für 100 Pfund eine Unverschämtheit im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften, die wir in niedrigerer Preislage wesentlich komfortabler erlebt haben.
