Whats not to like?
The Old Butchers was quite the oldest guest house we have ever stayed in. It was beautifully appointed and totally in keeping with its historic past. The proprietors were extremely welcoming and made sure our regrettably short stay was memorable.
There was absolutely nothing to dislike.
A really nice and charming B&B. Renovated with respect for the history of the building. Nice and warm welcome by the owner.
Quaint & welcoming & relaxed
No bar to have drink / night cap
Very enjoyable stay, nothing to much trouble.
Lovely decoration with beautiful building structure. Breakfast is very good.
owners; very friendly and accommodating. great location. excellent breakfast would recommend to all
Very friendly, welcoming and helpful owner. Great base to explore the area. Good facilities - modern bathrooms, comfy bed and amazing shower! Building has lots of character!
The location got 4 out of 5 only because of the heavy traffic which goes through the village unfortunately.
We were warmly greeted by Dona (owner), who made us feel very much at home and did everything she could, to ensure we were comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean, practical to use, with a very comfortable bed. It was well fitted out and in-keeping with the character of the property. The Old Butchers is perfect for exploring both Canterbury & Sandwich. During our stay, we had a very nice, reasonably priced dinner at the 'Anchor Inn', just a short walk from the accommodation. Dona's breakfast was varied, plentiful and of an excellent quality. Car parking is off-road behind the property. Highly recommended.
We had crossed from France via Euro tunnel and this was very convenient. Nice village setting and we were made very welcome. Quirky old building that had been tastefully modernized. Good choice of food for breakfast.
A bit noisy with traffic in the morning but not a great problem.
Warm welcoming, beautiful well maintained b&b
A bit uncomfortable for tall people but everything else makes up for it
Everything was great - the lady owner was very kind helpful. Comfy and clean rooms and the breakfast in the morning was superb. Off road parking too! Would definitely recommend this place.
Very friendly and helpful lady. Beautiful bedroom and en suite. Absolutely spotless. Would highly recommend this to anyone.
Every thing except the road noise.
Our room above a very busy noisy road junction
- very old and very well maintained house - lovely low ceiling room - well equipped bathroom - good breakfast
- somewhat noisy due to road traffic
The owners were very accommodating and wonderfully nice. They even made dairy-free pancakes for our allergic daughter's breakfast. :-) We wish we could have stayed longer than we did.
The access street was a bit narrow, but not a real issue. There was a little noise from the street, but nothing intrusive. We would recommend staying at The Old Butchers without any hesitation whatsoever.
Very neat clean property with good service and food.would thoroughly recommend this property
great place to stay loved it
wingham is a lovely village, old butchers inn has unique accommodation, Donna is so welcoming and friendly cannot do enough for you, all in all a perfect stay would definately return.
all perfect, no negatives
Lovely old house, charmingly converted. Very friendly welcome, very clean and comfortable beds. Local pub really good and friendly too.
Nothing to dislike. Everything was good
Lovely village, local pub served great meals. Room very nice, bed very comfortable. Staff/owner very friendly and good breakfast.
Nothing really, just a bit pricey for a nice, but quite small room
This is a very ancient house (14th century), furnished and renovated with style, very comfortable. Especially the bathroom was modern, the shower does its job better than most British showers. The young couple who run the place are very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent.
Bit of traffic noise in the morning, yet very quiet during the night.
Everything was perfect. Highly recommendable.
