Huge comfortable 4 poster bed
Breakfast served only between 9-930 on a Sunday! Should have been at least until 10.
A 1st class hotel not far from the pleasure beach and not far from the sea front, the hotel was built in the 18th century so as you can imagined it as a lot of history.. The room we had was perfect, very large and spacious room and a shower big enough for two... breakfast was great, full English but self service which was great as you can get as much as you like. We will give this hotel 9 out of 10. A little gem and we are looking forward to returning there again.
No bar... but as there are pubs close by that realy is not a bad thing.
2 hours early for checking in but given room key with no charge, great! Nice full English breakfast. Ample amount of free parking.
No smile from presumably the owner on arriva. Shown our room then left to it, no chit chat, hints & tips etc. Not told about their bar or hotel facilities so not used, unsure what made this a 4* hotel. Felt that the £70 charge was a bit high.
The old style building. Staff very accommodating . My partner is recovering from cancer and there was problems with the heating but a heater was brought to our room within 5 minutes .
a little bit different from the standard good cooked breakfast very comfortable helpful staff would definitely stay here again and happily recommend it we had a standard double - which while small was very comfortable and had everything we needed including a full range of teas and coffee
Not a 4 star but so what, welcoming staff, warm clean rooms, plenty of tea & coffee making, great buffet breakfast.
had noisy people in next room but can't blame hotel for them. But wall must be a bit thin could hear everything
Lovely four poster bed which was gloriously comfortable Bathroom very spacious with plenty of hot water and large towels Plenty of tea and coffee available in the room Quiet location and easy to find Breakfast fresh and plentiful Lovely idea of an honesty bar especially when arriving late
Room wasn't very well serviced
bath and shower in the ensuite Kingsize bed (not superking). Endless tea and coffee supplies. Very helpful staff good quality shower care lotions
An opulent room, but a little dated. No tissues Ran out of decaf coffee for rooms No decaf coffee or brown bread for breakfast
Bed comfy Location
Extremely poor hospitality Cold room Noisey pluming No glasses in room Rusty toilet brush No hot water or dodgy tap Could not find owner when wanted to complain Not good range breakfast
We would go back, bed was so comfy, ideal location, breakfast good self serve, ideal for a fussy eater, like my self. Great time x
Very welcoming. Very stylish. Very good freshly cooked breakfast. Extremely comfortable bed. Lovely place to stay.
Toilet seat was loose
Room very dated and tired. Heating not on, so very cold. En suite was well past it's best and was poorly maintained. View from room was disgusting, over a rubbish dump of a garden. Service poor and food poor. Definitely not worth anything like four stars!!
Room comfortable Breakfast excellent Staff very helpful Great location near South Pier
everything was lovely very friendly staff breakfast was nice and room was lovely and clean will be returning again thank you
The location of the hotel and the quirky little details of the hotel especially the stained glassed windows. Staff were friendly and very helpful especially when i had an issue.
Unfortunately there was mould in the bathroom from the shower.
Everything was good We were allowed to check in early and park our car which saved us a lot of trouble Room was clean with plenty of tea, coffee and milk with a large stock in the hallway if you needed to replenish Breakfast was excellent, full english Will definately come again
very well presented
clean, comfortable and excellent location.very accommodating and helpful staff, would definitely stay here again!
This room is superbly decorated and with bath and shower, has more than a room this price should have. Even at the front of the property we slept like babies! Great breakfast too. We will be back :-)
The TV was a little small.
Nice hot breakfast with coffee. Room was spacious and had everything needed including a wide selection of tea!
Friendly run b&b really helpful. Comfortable room lovely breakfast.
First night excellent sleep, second due to thinness of walls could hear guests next, his snorin kept us awake. Also shower quite poor took ages for water to come through. Would still recommend ok for couple of nights.
Nice place, quiet and away from the hustle and noise. Really comfortable, good breakfast, parking on site, no issues at all.
No bar if you wanted a drink, walls were a bit thin and could sometimes hear other guests.
Everything, freindly staff, excellent breakfast, and love the fact there is an honesty box, nice to know that there are still people who trust others, not many about these days. Would highly recommend to someone. Room was lovely, very satisfied overall. Hilary jones. Cannock Staffordshire.
Was nothing to fault....
