Bar was nice. Terrace was nice with good views Staff poorly trained. Couldn't park on site due to restaurant guests using all spaces. Waited 30 minutes for breakfast before I had to leave and therefore had no food. Very disappointing. Manager responed to complains well but should never have happened. Not suited to business travel. |

Comfortable beds, wonderful sea views, spotlessly clean, excellent breakfast. Expensive, pretentious and too-exotic overly spicy restaurant menu. Poor table service. Disappointing absence of fish dishes and very dim gloomy lighting in restaurant. Squeaky floorboards in room above meant we were kept awake late into night by what seemed like a herd of dancing elephants! |

Excellent room, classed as 'superior' but more like a suite with a separate sitting area and balcony. |

We enjoyed our stay, but you need to be able to offer evening meals sooner rather than later, breakfast was excellent Brochure stand outside bedroom 3, problem with other guests deciding where they should visit outside the bedroom we were staying in |

Having read some of the latest reviews we were rather worried about our stay. However everything was very good. Our room was spotlessly clean with a fantastic view over the sea.The terrace and garden was a great place to sit and the bar, although quiet was extremely comfortable for a drink or coffee. Breakfast was very good and staff , especially in the bar, excellent. I understand that the hotel has been taken over and improvements have obviously been made. All it needs now is for the restaurant to be re-opened. The lack of restaurant facilities at the moment meant the nightly rate was a little high. |

This hotel is in beautiful Mousehole. The location was excellent and the breakfast lovely. The hotel was dead in the evenings as the restaurant was closed and has been for some time. On our first evening there were two other guests in the bar and on our second night we were the only costomers. The barman was excellent company though. |

The location of the hotel is very good with great sea views from anelevated position. The Old Coastguard advertises itself as a hotel but is in reality a very overpriced b&b. The bar did not open until 1500 and there were no restaurant facilities outside of breakfast. All in all very poor value despite the views ! |

The rooms were very comfortable with beautiful sea views. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were to. Some people gave it a bad review and I cannot imagine what they are thinking of. Only take notice of the good ones as they are the best reflection of this hotel. |

The location of the Hotel and views from our room were wonderful. The room itself was very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The outside patio area was a bonus. The restaurant has closed, but the Hotel reccommended some other suitable eating places nearby |

Staff were friendly, breakfast was very good, patio and garden were very nice. Decor and fittings were clearly tired (notably the bar area). The restaurant was closed (had been for some time) this made the hotel somewhat "empty" during the evening. |

Friendliness and helpfulness of all staff. Beautiful room with wonderful sea views (Premium room). Breakfast in delightful dining room, again overlooking the sea. Nice atmosphere. Restaurant closed currently, but we understand this is temporary. Car park a bit small. |

The room (no 8) was really lovely with own terrace over looking the sea with good views.Bed was so comfy and pillows best ever in a hotel that we did not want to get up in the morning. Breakfast was very good and plentiful and even supplied an item that was not on the menu. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Recommend it to all and we will return. |

The room was relaxing: very comfortable and with a great view. The food was good; though we only ate breakfast. The village and surrounding area had averything that we wanted. |
