The Old Crown Coaching Inn has sufficient period features to satisfy the keenest fan. The room was clean, bed comfortable and good food was quickly served at breakfast by polite and energetic staff. The WiFi coverage was good with excellent bandwidth. Overall, good value for an overnight stop.

The en suite was clean but dated. Although some will view the odd gap between the square windows and doors and the oblique frames as admirable period features, they grated with my engineering mindset!

Location in central square and proximity to excellent Market Restaurant, where we had a lovely meal. I stayed in the Old Court Room, which was wonderfully spacious, atmospheric and comfortable, with sitting area and a very nice bathroom. Available at a reduced price for the night I stayed, this was very good value.

Very noisy on a Friday night - music from the bar downstairs till midnight and from people in the street outside the window until 1am. My friend was allocated a room right over the bar, and asked to be moved - the room she was given at the back of the hotel was quieter.

The location of the hotel, and the room. Even though there were a few negatives. Over all we had a brilliant time, we stayed during the local festival and our room looked out towards the stage so we sat and watched and listend from the comfort of our room. The service and professionalism needs to be looked at, more staff and more staff training would help. We are going back only to see if the service is different, when the festival is not on. Breakfast needs to be re thought more selection and a choice of brown or white toast would be nice. Lets hope it's just a case of being a busy weekend.

The fact we never got shown to our room. With explanation of how to get the lights to work. No comp soap ect in the bathroom. Dirty cup in bathroom. Breakfast could have been much better, More selection.

Free Parking Good Location Easy to Find Good eateries within walking distance "Lively" Bar Good ales Good breakfast

"Early Doors" Kindergarten, (i have no problem with Children in pubs/beer gardens but parents perhaps could be more aware of children,s behaviour) however, after children (and parents) had left for home the atpmosphere became less noisy!! Exceptionally well appointed room (named Edge) spolied by the fact it overlooked the Bus Stop and buses started running 0600 Hrs (Other rooms would not necessarily suffer from this)

Prices were very competitive, ideal location for sight seeing in Oxford as bus stop outside of hotel entrance. We ate in hotel on a couple of occasions which was acceptable and again well priced. The Court Room was lush, spacious and the beds were comfortable although bathroom was a little tired

Attitude and service of staff at breakfast which was very poor. The menu states full English breakfast which wasn't the case and unless you asked there was no toast. On a couple of mornings both my husband and myself had to assist in making the coffee, getting milk and orange juice from their kitchen as they were busy and to few staff on duty

    not a lot

.the manager tried to charge me £84 when I had booked for£64. I had to produce my booking confirmation form before he relented. he then stated he was always having trouble with booking.com. it was all rather embarrassing. not a good start for my stay.

Location was fine - centre of town easy to find - good for airshow. Opened breakfast early especially for us at the weekend.

Room a little dated. Bed not that comfortable to sleep in. Walls thin - could hear next room occupant snoring loudly!

If you are staying in Faringdon, look no further. Great hotel, incredible rooms, and good wholesome food - beer not so bad!

No plug in the power bath but hey, you can't had everything!
