staff, very good breakfasts.free parking.
It was clean and comfortable, no fuss and no hassle. Michelle and David are great ho.sts
It would be helpful to find some bus schedules availble.
Helpfulness of staff, comfort and cleanliness of room, general peaceful atmosphere.
Faultless. Nothing negative at all.
i like everything was cool
Cleanliness was ace! The staff and proprietors were fantastic and very welcoming.
The early time limit for check-in can make things difficult... or not! Just depends on planning! Not really a negative, just a note to others.
The room was basic but clean and private . We had to get a taxi into Liverpool City centre but it was cheap costing around £5.00 . which was fair..I asked could i borrow an ice bucket and fair play i was given one when i got there...The couple who greeted us when we left were lovely and chatted to us about our stay and how we got on..For the price it's great..basic but just what we wanted..
Bit of confusion when we got there as the lady couldn't understand us very well but this didn't put us off really.
The hosts David and Michelle Within 5 minutes I knew I made the right choice as I established a great rapport with both David and Michelle I don't require 5 star accommodation so the facilities provided were more than adequate for me Then there is the breakfast, multiple choices and I never felt hungry again until after three in the afternoon I've seen in other reviews people bemoan the distance of the Old Dairy to the city center For me that was big plus as I do a lot of walking when on holiday and I would walk from the Old Dairy to the city center everyday, including walking from the Old Dairy to Anfield to watch the football, which was the main purpose of my visit to Liverpool
Close to city centre Staff very friendly Quiet. Location
Nice room, good amenities, friendly owners, good vibe, useful information provided, god value for money
Location not ideal, but there's buses to city center and taking a taxi is also cheap, which makes this no big deal
Almost everything! Comfortable stay, excellent clean facilities and friendly owners. Definitely recommend.
Everything was perfect, from the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom to the wonderful continental breakfast. the staff is friendly and really helped us to move in the city. the position may seem uncomfortable, but the area is much quieter than the city center and is connected by several bus. quality definitely above average.
The room and bathroom was clean and big. The beds were really comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly.
The checkout time was too early (10:30 am). They charge you £10 if you dont arrive before 8pm.
I think the staff were very helpful regarding all requests. From advising regarding social interactions to a well priced taxi service. Excellent hotel which I shall use again.
The WiFi was ok but not overly great so I used my own Internet access (however, the issue may have related to my phone rather than the wifi I didn't check).
check out was too early (10 am) the personnel was absent after 11am our room window looked at a dirty and untidy back yard the kitchen (although tidy) was really smelly during breakfast time and we could even feel it in our room it was too expensive for the facilities it offered
The host is always helpful to me when I need any help. You can also cook any food in the kitchen set in a seperated place. Wi-fi is good and beds are comfortable. One of the best things is that rooms have private bathrooms. I think you can enjoy your trip here with comfortable environment. I strongly recommend all of you.
Family oriented accomm. Lovely hosts.
Thin walls, screaming children!
Booked last minute very pleasant stay staff excellent and very friendly first thing we were greeted with in the room was the cleanliness and very fresh smell excellent facility definately will reccomend to friends and family
Friendly staff, cleanliness was excellent, helpful info given on arrival.Secure accommodation don't let the outside put you off as when you arrive you will see what a gem it is. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms were just right and had all you needed, communism areas to use if desired. Bus route right nearby, shops etc short walk away. Great taxi services within a big city. Happily go again xxx
No negatives at all.
Staff Breakfast / food preparation area perfect location for us
wifi signal week in our room
Really good value for money. Excellent place to stay really close to the city centre would definitely recommend and stay again
Stayed for 2 nights and booked at short notice! All was great. Really comfortable beds
A tad on the pricy side
Free Wii Fi
I'm sorry to leave such negative feedback however I have to be truthful. Ok so we were'nt expecting much for the price we payed( £59 per night), however when the taxi pulled up in a run down residential street and the driver warning us this is one of the roughest parts of Liverpool and to watch our belongings, my heart sunk. And it got worse once inside....There are more locks and keys and bars on the windows than a jail! We thought we would give it the benefit of the doubt and continued to book in. The book in it's self was rushed to say the least and we were'nt even shown to our rooms. The room it's self was tiny, dirty and smelled stale. The beds were very uncomfortable and we didn't sleep well at all due to the springs poking in our backs. The metal bars of the top bunk bed were held together with wire. The bars on the windows prevented us from opening the window to get some fresh air in the room and has to be a fire hazard??. The mattress's were stained as were the sheets and duvet covers. Three of us stayed at the hotel however was only left one bath towel and one hand towel which were thread bare, we ended up buying our own towels (we couldnt find any staff to ask for any more). No wardrobes, bedside lights didn't work. Extractor fan very noisy and also kept us awake. Walls were paper thin and could hear everything included other guests weeing in the communal toilet next door (very unpleasent!) We could never catch the staff to discuss our concerns the office (which is a converted garage) was always closed. This is more like a hostel rather than a B&B. Wish we payed a bit extra and went for a better quality hotel. Word of advise dont expect much in fact expect very little and you won't be disapointed!
it was very comfortable and homely
The fact that the owners didnt turn up until the day after and we were made to wait for 20 minutes before we were seen by their receptionist. There was a leak at 3.30 in the morning which had went all over the bathroom floor and there was no apology, instead the blame was shifted on to a family of guests above us. They offered us to be moved but my girlfriend is currently nearly 8 months pregnant and hardly had any sleep because of this, was exhausted and we were getting ready for a wedding at the time. It was on the ground floor and we didnt have the time to move, plus the leak was eventually sorted. We were told 'we should of rang' by the owner who didnt answer their phone in the first place of our arrival and it was highly doubtful they would answer at 3.30 in the morning. The view from the window was a building site with bits of timber etc and an old boat (we have the pictures) and the breakfast we were offered for the 'inconvenience' was certainly not worth £5 a head.
staff made us feel very welcome and at home.
