Hotel location and food
We expected a bit of view but wow, having a beer looking down the estuary from the terrace was special. Lovely views also from from our room and the restaurant. The meal we had was excellent and everything seemed just that little bit more reasonable and laid back than on the other side/centre of Fowey
Slight shortage of hot water at peak times
The hotel, staff, food, locals and the ferry man!
Parking not great bed not comfortable for me.
Friendly hotel nice location
Service og location
Parking an issue. Woken at 6.15am Sunday morning by staff setting up spit roast - not pleased! No car ferry access from Fowey after 7pm.
Excellent staff and meals. Historic atmosphere.
Loved the location, food and staff. Very friendly made you feel totally welcome. ..would recommend.
Everyone couldn't do enough for us, made us feel really welcome.
The food was excellent and the view from our room was beautiful
The friendly informality and delightful position of the Inn
Location especially as we were a mother and daughter and my mother is a fan of Daphne du Maurier
Wonderful location, friendly staff and great food.
The room was clean and cosy, and we were able to control the heating ourselves. Unfortunately, we had one of the rooms that had its own shower room across the corridor. We would have preferred en-suite.
The staff were wonderful, specially providing a vegetarian menu for me. There were several options for each course, and the quality of the food was superb.
I loved the low ceilings in the room. Felt like a borrower! Very cute. Good breakfast, lovely views, nice staff. White sparkly bathroom and soft dressing gowns. Good stuff.
Friendly staff, good food, nice room (great view)
The staff were lovely food
We didn't feel welcomed by the stuff and our room was actually quite noise. You could hear other people snoring next door or walking above. Rooms would need refurbishment and better insulation.
Their breakfast and a la carte dinner was delicious and offered a good variety. We would come back for the food.
Friendly pub atmosphere, good quality food, cheerful staff and large bedrooms. Although the one we stayed in would not have suited a taller couple!
Cleanliness, friendlyness of staff, excellent location and wonderful views. Cuisine was some of the best of our trip to Devon and Cornwall
Nothing bad to say.
Being able to travel to close by resorts by river. Food at accommodation was superb as were the staff, 10 out of 10, will definitely return.
Last ferry from Fowey is 7pm but that's not the pub fault!
The food was amazing, gastro standard grub! I recommend the mussels! Lovely views of the river from the restaurant. Staff couldn't do enough for us, so friendly and flexible. The shower in our room was amazing too!
Friendly welcoming staff. Good food. An excellent view across the river.
The view was fantastic and did make up for no en-suite in our room.
Great location overlooking Fowey with courteous service and more of a feel of a small hotel than a B & B /pub. Generous, well cooked breakfasts.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, the bar was just what you would expect from a 400+yr old Cornish Inn with its large log burner and beam ceiling. Food was delicious, great breakfast. We had a basic room which was fine with a fab shower if slightly noisy fan. Very clean and bed comfy. The dining room has amazing views over the Estuary.
