The Full English Breakfast

The website states ' Breakfast from 8am' but on arrival they told us that it was from 8:30 which was a problem for us so we had to insist that it be available no later than 8am. The Chef kindly agreed to come in earlier than usual and provided a really nice Full English. The heating radiator in the bedroom was too hot to touch being stuck in the 'full on' position even though the outside temperature was in the mid- 20's C. It was so uncomfortably hot we had to insist something was done about it and their 'solution' was to turn the Boiler off completely!! Some other inconsiderate guests were up at the 'crack of dawn', smoking, coughing and talking loudly in the Car Park despite there being a special covered smoking area well away from the Bedrooms.

Excellent location, great value for money and great breakfast. Staff were friendly and the accomodation just right.

Friendly staff

The friendliness of the owner from check in to check out. Room was lovely, clean and comfortable, chickens and goats across the car park and breakfast was of a very high quality. All in all perfect!

Very welcoming staff and nice ambience in the bar. Breakfast excellent and the Manager, Paul, was very helpful and courteous, and welcomed our comments.

Evening meal a little disappointing _ husband found 5 chips not enough, had to ask for more, one small bowl of veg and 2 pieces of garlic bread for 4 people not enough. However, well cooked.

The old Greyhound Inn is a very attractive building probably a coaching inn.We were made very welcome by the landlord who showed us directly to our room located in a separate building away from the hub-bub of the inn and with very easy access to our car and the garden and boule pitch. As our visit was to attend a private function in the area a taxi was ordered for us. Following morning a good breakfast was freshly cooked and served by our friendly "host2

Plumbing in en suite needs some up grading.

Clean, comfortable, quiet at night and convenient; staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful, superb breakfast and by far the best value for money around. If we need to stay in the area again, this is the one!

Room recently decorated, new carpet etc. Fluffy towels and plenty of hot water.

Disappointed that cooked breakfast was not available and we were not told this until we arrived to check in. A continental alternative was offered, but we declined, choosing to breakfast elsewhere.
