Lovely old house with character, excellent facilities with pleasant outlook. Hearty breakfast very good value for money. Just wished we had more time to enjoy our stay.
Attention to detail in every way Personal touch Exquisite decor and setting Good breakfast
I Loved the way the host Simon made you feel special.Nothing was too much trouble. He looked after us and made us feel at home.We stayed in the Prince Charles suite, which was amazing, and the bathroom was huge.A lot of b&b provide tea and coffee and little cartons of milk which inevitably don't last long, but in The Old Hall you get a flask of milk and you can use it at your leisure.Simon recommended and booked somewhere local to eat in the evening. In the morning the breakfast was excellent with an array of food to choose from.We are going back in december and will certainly recommend The Old Hall to our friends.
Nothing to dislike,it was perfect in every way.
Beautiful rooms, food and Simon.
I couldn't help being immediately taken by the beautiful Medieval exterior of the house. Then upon entering, it was like stepping into the pages of a history book. The rooms are highly luxurious and in keeping with the age of the house, with the added luxury of top of the range bathrooms, TV, DVD player etc. My room was absolutely spotless. Unfortunately I didn't have time to explore the beautiful gardens. Simon was a wonderful host and his breakfast was out of this world. I was made to feel like a queen. I look forward to visiting again and can't recommend highly enough. Thank you for a memorable stay.
Excellent hospitality Property of historic interest Great little touches to improve the experience
This was truly a five star experience! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome, shown about the property, to our room and a great recommendation for dinner. The room was superb - EVERY detail was thought of. Breakfast was over the top delicious. And the stay would not be complete without a walk through the gardens. What a beautiful place!
More time to stay another night!
Everything; especially the candlelit breakfast. No matter how good or bad the facilities, it is the people who make a difference. Simon was an absolute star!
Nothing - a perfect break.
Beautiful house, in a peaceful location. Room was lovely, great breakfast, and Simon is the perfect host.
All of it - you must go.
We liked the whole experience of staying at The Old Hall Country House. It is a very special place in which Simon has combined so effectively the wonderful historic heritage of the house with excellent modern facilities and added his own personal touch of the highest level of very thoughtful service. It would be hard not to feel very comfortable and privileged in these surroundings
Nothing really, we failed to let Simon know our estimated time of arrival (ETA) because we didn't know it ourselves. There was a note pinned on the door and he soon appeared when we rang the mobile number. Being hugely picky but wanting to help, I would say the name of the house, whilst very accurate, is a bit of a mouthful... so maybe 'The Old Hall' would do.. but that makes no difference to the quality of the stay which was excellent
Friendly manager Beautiful historic building Tastefully decorated rooms Superb dinner at The Swan with Two Necks Beautiful garden
It was a bit too dark and quiet at night, but it was because we were the only guest that night.
Wonderful building Excellent rooms Beautiful gardens Excellent host/staff
I have stayed here before. It is a beautiful Elizabethan/Carolingian conversion
The comforts ,luxury bedroom. beautiful gardens and friendly staff.

Beautiful property in beautiful grounds. The owner, Simon, is very friendly and quite a character. Had a wonderful meal in The Stables the previous evening and a superb breakfast in the Old Hall. Couldn't have found a better place to celebrate our Golden Wedding.
Nothing to dislike.
Everyone was so incredibly friendly, the accommodation was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. We were well catered for with lovely fresh food.
Nothing - it was just the best B&B I've ever stayed in.
Exquisite gardens; beautiful and unique interior; exceptionally friendly owner; amazing breakfast!
The olde worlds timber building with modern facilities. Lovely, friendly, helpful proprietor. Very attractive garden
The Old Hall is simply one of the very best hotels we have stayed in in the British Isles.
Fantastic historical properly, renovated to a high standard with decoration that compliments the house...set in lovely gardens, well recommended
From arrival to departure, the attention to detail and customer care was unrivalled by any other short break I have experienced.
Leaving was the only disappointing aspect of the whole experience.
Beautiful building, gardens and lovely comfortable beds!
Quite a late check in time and early check out time - so felt rather rushed. Wished that we had more time to savour the lovely surroundings.
Individuality was a most welcome change from chain hotels. Quirky rooms and brilliant service, would highly recommend this listing. Excellent breakfast to get the day started!
