it was nice and location was good - quality of many aspects good too - pillows were disappointing. Good view from our room. Great to have small fridge -appreciated that. Good bed. Clean and well maintained. If people park well all residents cars are able to be off road. Found great food at one of the old and characterful pubs.

Absolutely a gem of a location and a great place to stay.
Brilliant value for money.
Lovely fire in the snug area and spend a few hours relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere.
Josh, the barman is a nice guy, but all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. All staff go above and beyond to make you welcome, and they really care for their guests, making sure you have everything they need.
The lady doing the breakfast service was really attentive and caring.
Food is fantastic with large servings and only suggestion I can offer is to have a few more traditional pub type meals on the menu and a few less upmarket ones but we still had a great meal.
Will definitely be back.

Wonderful village with excellent amenities and ideal for scenic walks followed by food! great range of cafes, pubs, hotels, fish and chips and a variety of shops. Only slight niggle is the parking is slightly expensive at £3.50 for 2 hrs or £5.50 all day - although card machines were easy to use. There is limited free parking in the village itself but limited to 2 hrs and generally full

Grassington is a lovely village in the Yorkshire Dales. We’ve stayed here on many occasions and come back 2 or times a year. It’s got typical Yorkshire charm with lots of individual cafes, shops and pubs. Amazing walks on the door step.

Grassington is a lovely Dales village - the town square has not changed for centuries. It is where All Creatures Great and Small is filmed but is much more than just that. I could have wandered around all day even in the gale force winds when we were there. Go and relax in this beautiful spot.
All the creative decorations give the entire place (entrance, hall, staircase, room and dining hall) a welcoming and warm atmosphere, without making it kitschy. All of the little details, starting with the handmade shelves, hand-crafted art works all-around the walls, the check-in experience, the Scandinavian style no-shoe policy, ending with how the cooked breakfast is prepared make it obvious that Craiglands is not just a typical B&B in the heart of Yorkshire Dales, but an inviting space that is taken care truly with heart and soul.
We were looking for a traditional B&B to stay at, on our way north. This place fits the bill perfectly. It is in a charming location in the Yorkshire Dales. Mary is a great host and made sure our stay was very comfortable. She cooked us a delicious full English breakfast in the morning. We didn't have much time there as we were travelling, but we were able to fit in a short walk down to the suspension bridge on the river Wharf and tea at the local tearoom. A very enjoyable interlude.
Lovely, friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed. They were easy going and accommodating, even sorting us out with bar meals at the end of service when we hadn't organised a table in the restaurant. The food was very good and the ambience of both restaurant and bar area are very inviting. Bed was very comfy too. Managed to park in square by returning to village towards the end of the day- it was very busy at the height of summer holidays!
Grassington Lodge was very comfortable and good facilities (super new bathroom en-suite) Also within walking distance to the centre of the village for cafe's and restaurants. Plenty of parking and a great starting point to travel around the Yorkshire Dales and walks. Although there was no breakfast available there were plenty of places to eat and good coffee/tea making facilities in the room.
We had an absolutely lovely weekend staying at Orchard Guest house. Mary Is a wonderful human who is there for anything you may need. She makes a great breakfast for the morning & you feel right at home. The location is fab- and the Clarendon hotel was so good for food!! Thanks Mary for a much needed relaxing break in the Yorkshire Dales. We will be back, Zoe & Phil x
Ideally located for walks and cycling in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales. Spectacular scenery immediately outside the door and window. Food in the evening was fabulous; great portions, good variety and sensibly priced. Recommended. The breakfast was similar albeit with variations on a theme. Enough to set you up for the day ahead.
Excellent food, we had dinner and breakfast. High quality products, very well presented and delicious.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful.
The location is great for beautiful country walks in the Yorkshire dales. The village has a few pubs and lots of cafes, galleries etc. Really pretty village.
The food was excellent both dinner and breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The hotel is located right in the centre of Grassington which is a very pretty village and surrounded by stunning countryside Our room was very comfortable and clean.
Everything was exceptional from the location to the food to the comfort of the rooms, but the staff really make it shine. Such incredible and warm hospitality, I can’t wait to come back again. Very easy drive to Gordale Scar and other destinations near the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The room was very comfortable, and with a great view. The food at breakfast and dinner was very good, with plenty of choice. The staff in the restaurant and behind the bar were efficient, and also very friendly. The hotel is located in the centre of Grassington.
Summers Barn was ideal for a weekend away. It is located in the beautiful village of Grassington that has lovely gift shops and cafes.
The accommodation is very welcoming and has a homely feel.
We had a wonderful stay.
A lovely hotel full of charm - extremely comfortable and warm with attentive, friendly staff. A perfect location right in the centre of Grassington and a great base for the Dales. We will definitely return. Thank you
Location is amazing and the house is a fabulous old period stone cottage. We have been to Grassington several times but never seen Ashfield House as it is tucked back off the main high street, what a find!
Everything we were looking for. Peaceful location in the centre of Grassington, friendly helpful staff. The walk to Burnsall is the perfect Dales experience. Don’t hesitate to book, this place is a gem.
