History Comfort Food Staff
the complete ambience was perfect for us. We will certainly return.
Great response to a mini crisis in the middle of the night. Easy walk to a good Indian restaurant (which we miss having access to). Have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here - all very good. Lots of good beer.
Friendly staff knowledgeable about the local area, extremely good food probably the best breakfast I've ever had!
Room on road side noise when window open.
Friendly staff, lovely room, good breakfast, lovely locality and good beer ( a large range of them.
No negatives at all.
Fantastic place... Can't wait to go back!

Nothing to dislike
Landlord went out of his way to make me feel welcome and include me in the activities. He really went the extra mile. All staff were friendly and helpful. Food and drink excellent - superb selection of ciders and Belgian beers to try. Fantastic place. I'd recommend it.
local importance and excellent service
Everything ! Location, friendly staff, high quality food and wine and great choice of beers
A great place to stay in a lovely area. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was great and a good choice of real ales. Would go back again to stay.
we loved everything
nothing to dislike
The outdoor/garden facilities were excellent as was the rest of the accommodation
The staff were very helpful & friendly, our room was lovely and the food was excellent.
Staff were very friendly, the owner especially went out of his way help. The food at the restaurant was excellent and the room was clean and decorated to a high standard.
Very noisey - Don't stay here if you want to sleep before midnight. Our room was above the Oddfellows Arms, the pub next door owned by the same owner as the Old Hall Inn. Sport was being played loudly on the television and we could hear the football and loud conversations until 00:15 and couldn't sleep. I complained but nothing changed. As soon as we arrived we cancelled our second night because of the noise. The owner charged us £30 for cancelling. I can't beleive other people give such good reviews. For £95 per night I expect luxury, not the racket we experienced.
Excellent selection of drinks and food. Particularly like the Belgian beers. Comfortable and clean room, nicely decorated.
Electric shower was very temperamental and took a long time (standing damp and shivering) to work out that the only way to avoid alternating scalding and icy water was to set the temperature dial very low. Also quite a bit of noise from the bar below the room and from people smoking outside until late into the night - unavoidable to a certain extent I accept, but unfortunate.
Friendly atmosphere; excellent staff, excellent food and a great choice of beer. Excellent value for money. Fantastic place for a short break.
Nothing to dislike...
The room was fantastic. Clean and comfortable.
really friendly team at the hotel. Excellent food in the restaurant in the evening. Breakfast was amazing.
I loved the whole experience
We particularly liked the friendly helpful attitude of all staff' The breakfasts were excellent, freshly prepared from the previous evening's order
There were potential inconveniences, such as the distance between the two buildings in particularly adverse weather - but we were OK on this occasion.
