The staff were excellent from arriving. Nothing was an issue. Bar staff excellent, food outstanding, accommodation exceeded my expectations. Cooked breakfast is a must, if you want to start the day right. A must stay if you are in the area

Our group of friends had no complaints about anthing

I liked the new structure with nice clean guest rooms and easy access the the pub area. The food is good and the owners work hard to please guests. Its just a nice place to stay and we liked the location.

Everything had been thought out in the room. All guests needs had been anticipated.

There was no full length mirror, a minor point which didn't really detract from a great stay.

Lovely place - great setting and excellent for castle combe.

We were in the last room and we had no wi-fi. As the 3G is also not available due to reception on O2 - we couldn't check or mails or download film that we were hoping to do - disappointing.

Excellent guest house. Attached pub was a classic old English decor, rooms were newer and more modern, very comfortable. Good breakfast. Easy drive (must see!) to Castle Combe village.

Everything was fantastic! Staff were friendly & helpful, room was great, nice & comfortable, food was very tasty.

The room was nicely decorated, the bed very comfortable. The owner was very concerned about the knocking noise that occurred in our room during our stay and hopefully they can find the cause as it was a very irritating sound. Breakfast was nice.

Being right on the road so you could not open the windows. The very strong chlorine smell in the bathroom. The irritating knocking noise that occurred at intervals throughout the afternoon and evening and again early the next morning hence we couldn't wait to leave. I think £145 a night to be overpriced.

Food was fabulous in the restaurant, as was the ambience. Love the fact the only light came from candles and open fire!

Gorgeous room, everything spotless and great quality furniture and fittings. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pub is lovely, cosy with an open fire. Food to a good standard, breakfast was great, plenty of tea!

Excellent rooms and top class breakfast. Kindly gave me a lift into Castle Combe. Thank you.

Staff were excellent, room was nice and had a proper coffee machine and a turndown service before we retired to bed. Food in the pub restaurant was reasonable and very good, hence, if wanting to eat there u need to make a reservation as they were full, people travel from miles away to eat here.

Having to check out we were truly spoilt. Thankyou team , especially mr and mrs Always for your hospitality and Perl las cheese yum yum

We had room 6. The room was superb, very well designed, spacious and the colours were lovely. The wet room was great and had everything we needed. Staff very friendly and helpful. The Food at The Old House at Home was excellent.

The owners are warm,friendly and welcoming. The food ia amazing and although they did mess up our order they recitified it by taking off out drinks bill which was very kind.

Re. Above are food did not come out as they were busy and we had moved tables so are food order didnt go through, we did getting it after the mistake was realised and the owner came over to apologise in person and said he would take all our drinks off of our bill.

Slightly noisy in the morning from traffic ( poor insulation ?)
