The hostess was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Difficult to find even using sat nav, almost gave up looking and after staying almost wish I had, only pleased that it was only one night. Reminded me of my days as a student living in noisy halls of residence, no carpet on floors so no sound insulation, loud footsteps and echoing conversations, snoring through thin walls. Don’t expect shared bathrooms these days, at least a sink in room would have helped. No comparison with other establishments that I have used for the same price.
The owners were absolutely fantastic and made us extremely welcome and comfortable. Being able to help yourself to a full kitchen and breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere
Excellent kitchen and good variety of breakfast ingredients. Surprisingly good wi-fi reception.
From the name, we were expecting a grand old building with traces of its Masonic history. Difficult to locate (poor street signage). Bathrooms tiny - barely room to turn around.
Owner was friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean. We had a quiet and relaxed night. The house has an interesting history.
Breakfast was lacking (everything out of a box) considering the price. There is no breakfast room so you have to eat your breakfast in the rooms.
Very interesting building. Spotlessly clean with a large and comfy room. Plenty to eat and drink in the kitchen
Nowhere currently for you to sit other than your room. Did not like sharing toilets.
It was a very warm and friendly stay there. We have been welcomed by the owners and had a interesting evening talking with them :) We felt very welcome and would go back there any time. Clean, friendly and WIFI worked ;)
Everything was completly fine!
Great value for money and very friendly.
Lovely building. rooms nicely decorated. Having access to a stocked kitchen 24 hours a day is great. Owners very friendly
Clean and hosts very welcoming.
Did not realise it was self service btrakfast not very clear from marketing. One of shower rooms bery small. Also is built up srea opposite hoising estate
The hosts are very pleasant; we had a lovely garden chat over coffee in the morning. Building is historic and architecturally interesting, and they are repairing/restoring/renovating the entire place. Will have full en suite facilities by the time I return, and I will return!
The Lodge is tucked away down a slightly twisty road, and the approach was a tiny bit intimidating for someone used to driving on the other side of the road while sitting in the other side of the car :) -- but this is not a big issue, merely a note.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Shared kitched was useful and a D.I.Y breakfast was supplied although not advertised or charged for.
Walls were much too thin. I was woken at 6am by what sounded like someone dragging furniture about. The noise didn't stop so I got up and left. No basin in room, shared shower was very small although the one I didn't use was larger.
Comfortable, individual, welcoming. Lovely setting, very attractive building.
It way a quiet location and had the luxury and freedom to make my own breakfast with everything laid on. I hope to go back soon and enjoy their hospitality again.
Awesome, personal experience!
Warm and genuine welcome!!!
Incredibly clean. We needed a comfortable bed for the night after a wedding and we couldn't have asked for more for the price. Excellent value.
We had the best time with the hosts, they love the area and know the best places to visit. We only stayed a short time but we could not have been happier with the hosts who offered all they had. We plan to come back here when we next can. thank you.
We had a wonderfull stay. The owners went above and beyond to help us feel welcome and make our stay comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.
Spotlessly clean Owners were very friendly and helpful Rooms were nicely decorated Facilities were very good Showers were powerful and hot Lots of parking close by Close to high street Kitchen to prepare own food Very nicely done up inside
Very nice staff and will definitely visit again if i get a chance or reason to visit the area again. Very nice old building and very much worth the money. Its not Radisson but a lot more value do the money than you get from Radisson! Highly recommended by me and my family!
