The hospitality was outstanding. We were even welcomed with a complimentary glass of local cider.
- Excellent location at a very reasonable price - very polite owners - room and bathroom very nicely renovated
Spacious family room, clean and warm. Lovely welcome from the owner. Good value for money. Great having a kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Very friendly, helpful. The room was clean and the sheets smelt lovely. Lots to choose from for breakfast. Would definately recommend.
Unfortunately on our stay, somebody checked in at 10.30pm and wasn't the quietest on the wooden floors!
We love the welcome with Cider and a nice chat with hostess about the area. My little 15 months were with us, we arrived a bit late and they were ready for us. The rooms were nice and comfortable, specially the beds. Breakfast is self served and you can use the kitchen if you are hungry later giving the option to use it.
Warm and friendly welcome. Clean and comfortable rooms and facilities. Good price and therefore value for money.
Not really a dislike - but just to be aware of the shared bathroom & kitchen arrangements
AMAZING Staff, really welcoming Clean rooms Love the communal kitchen for breakfast 'help your self idea' Wifi was good Spacious area Well maintained and decorated interior
Loaction, hidden away Exterior is not maintained well Front entrance smells of smoke
found the place easily with help from the proprietor who met me at the door, supplied me with everything I needed.
Relaxed host Helpful Staff Very clean useful kitchen Good value for money
Some noise from use of bathroom and kitchen. Not ensuite
The rooms were relaxing and well decorated . The use of your own well stocked kitchen was ideal and the hosts were very accepting of children and the fact we up and about early !
Separate bathrooms that were abit on the small side .
Internally this property has been very well refurbished.
Externally apperance very tired . Not all rooms en-suite
Jean was great, very friendly and hospitable. Loved we had our own kitchen
En suite would have been better however the use of 2 very clean shower rooms without any queuing when all rooms seemed occupied was great
A lovely historic building and spotlessly clean with a kitchen full of goodies for free. Friendly interesting owners with exciting plans to progress the facilities.
Shepton Mallet suffers from unimaginative town planning.
We received a very warm reception at the B and B. The room and all the facilities were spotless. Breakfast was 'help yourself' from the kitchen and exceeded my expectation; fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, yoghurt etc. I would love to return in a years time to see the progress made with the renovation project at the property.
Great place, close to the town and Bath & Western Showground. Very Clean, comfortable and quiet. Thankyou !!
Clean and very comfortable.Owners were wonderful and could'nt have been more helpful. We liked the idea of the breakfast being on a 'help-yourself' basis from the very well stocked kitchen. There was not a cooked breakfast option but that was not a problem as the continental was superb. We would certainly stay again.
THIS IS NOT A COMPLAINT but i think it may be nice if the rooms had a rug or two in them.Especially as winter is closing in.Our room was simply floorboards and, whilst it really did'nt bother us,it may bother others.Just a thought?
Very friendly hostess, nicely decorated room, excellent value for money.
The history of the building and the surrounding area is very interesting. Modern fit out and well done.
Jean is such a wonderful host added so much to our visit. The accomodation was close to Glastonbury and other areas to explore.
The hosts were just a delight to chat with, knowledgeable about the area. They are also putting in a lot of work to their place right now, so the good facilities are going to be even better by the time you get there. Really great value for the room.
It felt like staying with friends. Mr and Mrs Kent were very helpful and informative. They made our stay a treat. The room had a TV and was nice a cosy. We could enjoy hot/cold drinks, biscuits and other goodies provided in the kitchen. this was very comforting after a long day out. The kitchen was open so we could use it when needed. If hungry there were pubs near by serving hot meals and a nice friendly atmosphere. The Masonic Lodge is about 40 mins drive from one of the most beautiful estates, Stourhead I have ever seen. Temples, grootos, lakes, swans, big stately house with a history etc. we enjoyed a day in the grounds. The lodge is also a close drive to bath for another day out. We also enjoyed the weekly market at a nearby village upon our departure from the Lodge. As a family who enjoys taking photographs you can image that there was a lot to fill our memory cards. I'd like to thank the Kents for a really lovely stay.
Very pleasant and friendly atmosphere. I was made most welcome by the owners. I loved the private kitchen facilities which made an evening snack or breakfast very relaxed and easy.
Can't wait to go back !!! Jean and jez are lush !! Extremely friendly and relaxed .... Just loved everything about it !! We'll be back v soon !!
The character and history of the property, the most amazing owners who were relaxed and kind and helpful in everything, nothing was too much trouble. particularly liked too the set up of a self-catering kitchen so you could please yourself and be flexible with snacks and breakfast time. Really I was in awe of the place and made good friends with other travellers too...I felt like I had found a little piece of heaven here.
The fact that I had to leave and go home!
Bed very comfortable and nice simple breakfast
