The room was clean and warm. Tea and Coffee making facilities were provided.
Mattress on the bed was worn, very lumpy and uncomfortable. No towels were in the room when we arrived. We had to go and ask for them. The sink in the bathroom was tiny, just big enough to clean your teeth. Although shampoo and conditioner was provided there was no body wash for the shower.
we liked the fact that it was an apartment which obviously gave us more space. The bathroom was good with lots of towels
It was not up to the same standard as the Old Mill apartment we stayed in a month ago. It took about 10 minutes to open the door as the lock was faulty The bed were too low and not very comfortable
parking dreadfull blocked in twice 13 cars at night. head lights lit my room when turning around in car park . bed room two small. and I was on my own
Beds not made/changed & Dirty towels left in bathroom
The staff were fantastic, inviting us to join in with their family party during our stay.
Really good breakfast and friendly staff. Room was well decorated and bed was very comfortable.
Room was very stuffy, and lacked ventilation, but bathroom was even worse. No plug for the sink, no soap or shower gel provided, but two large bottles of Tesco shampoo! Small things needed attention, like curtain holder that had broken.
I had slept like a log! Nice warm room even without the heating on and it was blowing a hoolie and raining outside! Nice full English breakfast too. Oh and free beer to take back to the room when I arrived! Shower was great too, easy to use and good pressure!! Can't ask for more!!
Easy access to room Comfortable Local Pub Excellent breakfast In all a very enjoyable stay Hospitality Excellent
My daughter and I stayed in the linked apartment. It was freezing when we arrived with no heating on. Pans were filthy, chipped mugs and glasses, filthy towels. Issues addressed when I raised them, but a bad experience.
Breakfast was good. Liked the long bench seating. Property was attractive. Plenty of parking space.
Sheets on bed thin and stained. No maid sevice. Room not cleaned while on our 4 night visit. Bin emptied on one day after request. Coffee/tea/sugar container unclean but rectified when requested. Sugar packets old. If you wanted anything done you had to request it.
Location and cleanliness
No wifi or 3G signal :-(
Great for self catering - good 2 bed apartment, but not if you just want a B&B
Didn't realise I booked an apartment, no way of knowing until after. Apartment ok, but no coffee and tea available unless you go to the tesco's. We paid additional for the breakfast at the old mill, not that impressed.
Reasonable price. On a country lane, quiet but not far from main rd. Option for breckfast in B&B 100 yards away. Pub doing food in the evening 100 yards in other direction.
Slight smell of drains in bathroom.
The staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was very clean and everything worked.
Close to my business destination and considerably cheaper than quoted by a big chain, at £60.
No mobile data signal. Too far from road? Cold night - radiator on - no heat. Breakfast starts at 7.15 -ins many in business I had to be on the road then.
Comfortable room, with good hearty breakfast
Lovely, comfortable, clean bedroom and bathroom. Beautiful building. Homely feel. Great breakfast. Very close to a lovely pub which serves good quality meals and has a well-priced wine and beer selection.
My only complaint is that there was no sugar in the basket of tea/coffee etc. Oh, and a hairdryer in my room would have been helpful.
despite being sent a conformation email they still managed to double book our room the problem was sort eventually. The accommodation was not at the mill its self but a 7 min drive away in a large housing estate. The apartment was ok but all cups/glasses supplied were chipped, the TV didnt work and the radio was broken, not what I expected for the £60.00 charge bearing in mind that didn't include breakfast. all in all a very disappointing stay. I have written to the Mill with regards these issues but as yet no response.
we liked the chapel, It was clean and comfortable and quiet. we enjoyed the breakfast and thought that the staff were welcoming and it was value for money,
The breakfast was fresh and homely. Good range of fruit available and the cooked breakfast looked nice.
The smell of the room where we slept smelt stale and unclean. No fresh toiletries...only those left by the previous customer. Dirty carpet.
The apartment was spacious and clean.
I wanted to stay at the Old Mill but stayed in an apartment near the Old Mill (which I was informed about at the time of booking). Would have like to have stayed at the Old Mill.
