We liked the location and the building is very attractive. The staff were nice and helpful. There was no hairdryer in the bedroom and no fan in the bathroom. The croissants for breakfast were hard.

price of room, general character and ambience of buildings and surroundings, breakfast Reception closed early, no lounge available - bar was advertised, rooms in outbuildings had fully frosted glass so unable to see out, no window to open, mattress uncomfortable, hand basin far too small

Everything staff very friendly and helpful. Working hard to please, food good. Bathroom needed a better sized mirror which wasn't hung for a very tall person......mirror not close enough to plug point for hair dryer.

Good value and clean and tidy. Plenty of space or two. Well appointed and appropriate for a families requirements. Nothing really a little bit like being at home (apartment was a house on an estate). A little far from Yarm and the main Hotel.

We stayed in one of the Old Mill apartments - which was a two-bed bungalow a few miles away from the Mill in a residential area. It was home from home, well presented and clean. It offered us private self-catering accommodation. We were unable to get the heating to work. We could have called reception but as the temperature wasn't too cold we didn't bother.

The place is very friendly. The owner told us everything about the history of the place and the region while preparing a lovely breakfast. The tv switched it self on in the middle of the night. The light in the bathroom was on a timer.

Nothing Waken at 6.30am both mornings by someone banging about above the room. The room was not in the old mill, but in a converted shed. Had to ask reception for basic amenities missing from the room, for example, towels, coffee, shampoo, toilet paper. The owners kids had a sleepover which meant a group of screaming kids in the hot tub right outside the room. No one came to make up the room after the first night. The staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. Very poor and would not stay again.

Location good for visiting the local area Poor value compare to rest of market. Described as luxury, absolutely not ! False advertising, many issues to which the owner has not acknowleged or responded to complaint email. Chapel apartment sparse, dirty, poorly equipped, barking dog. Overall, avoid at all costs. I welcome a response from the owners as we were so disappointed with the reality of what was offered compared to what was advertised. .

very handy location for Yarm, Middlesbrough and surrounds and near a pub serving food sadly The Chapel was very far removed from it's description of 'luxury' apartment. It was basic, bland, grubby and bordering on inadequate.

It was spacious. We booked a non smoking room, the room absolutely stank of stake cigarettes. It was advertised as 'luxury'. It was basic, the toilet seat was damaged, the bathroom tap was damaged and the decor is in desperate need of tidying up. We were only staying one night luckily.

It was quite picturesque At the time of booking we thought breakfast was included, which it wasn't, so it turned outto be very expensive for what it was. Breakfast was a shambles, very small portions, toast cold and they ran out of fruit juice - certainly not worth the extra £7.20 each!!! The room was quite dirty, someones false eyelashes stuck on the bed throw, poor quality bedding - just sheets, no toiletries provided, broken toliet seat, tv didn't work. Staff all appeared to be hungover at breakfast time. Confirmation email from hotel said that hot-tub didn't work which was a reason for booking in the first place. A long way outside of Yarm.

The chapel was lovely. I had booked a one bedroom apt foer my daughter and myself so really enjoyed the extra space The dog next door barked incessently from 7am till late pm. I could not have stayed another night because of this. The lady at reception did say that they knew this was a problem and they were trying to sort it out with the owner. I think in this case I should have been told about the dog when I checked in and I could have opted to go to my original apartment. I do feel that I should have been reimbursed as it was not quite the relaxing break I had hoped for. The dog is the reason I have to say no to the question below but I did like the accommodation.

Very friendly staff, accessible and good value. Fresh coffee and toast, good marmalade. We didn't have the cooked breakfast but it looked very good. About a dozen silly little things that if they fixed would make it excellent rather than fair / good. For example - no soap in the bathroom, only a bedside light on one side of the small double bed, no suit / trouser hangers in the wardrobe. If the owner tried staying in the rooms overnight they'd spot what needs doing.

There was very little to like in our case but the Old Mill itself looked more presenta ble than the Chapel apartment that we were booked to stay at. The accommodation at the Chapel was filthy it had not been cleaned the beds were unmade and the kitchen filthy with a large bag of rubbish. The small sitting room was also very dirty. We were transferred to a bungalow on a housing estate 15 minutes away this too was not clean and the utensils were mismatched, cracked plates and not at all professionalwith an inventory . The problem appears to be that the owners let out these apartments long term when not used by holidaymakers. Because of the distance from the Old Mill we were unable to partake in breakfast or walk to the local pub in the lane for a meal. There was no apology from the owner and no discount. Obviously we will not stay there again. Very very disappointing.

Stayed in the apartments which on arrival was a two bedroom bungalow. It was clean warm and had all mod cons which was most welcome after a 4hr travel. Nice and peaceful area with all amenities around to do what you want local pub and tesco supermarket. There is no internet available i would pay extra for this even on a pay per usage. Also there should be some instructions for the apartments there was some but this was for the bed and breakfast which did not relate to the apartment. These are not negative remarks because i loved the place just merly comments for improvement.

Freindly owners. Room too hot Prices quoted when we made enquiries, included breakfast, yet they had no knowledge of this, so had to pay. You troll the internet and pull up hotels in yarm, it states that breakfast was included
