So perfect to visit the beautiful cathedral, the ruins of the Bishop Palace, the castle and the very picturesque town and good view if weather is fine & clear.

Once you overcome the frustration of getting there - don't rely on Satnav - one start to relax i such surrounding. Bedroom on the small side.

Great location next to the Cathedral, meaning it was really central to the top end of the city. Views of the Cathedral from bedroom window (& free morning alarm call via the bells!!) Free parking available outside the property. Cooked breakfast was good with a choice of juices, cereals, fruits pastries as well. Plenty to choose from and the staff were lovely.

The floor in room 3 had a slight lilt, which was probably due to the age of the building, but still a little awkward. The shower door didn't meet in the centre or close properly, meaning the water escaped across the floor making it slippy.

Different type of hotel with individual rooms. Great location next to the cathedral. The breakfast was very nice and room whilst not big was very comfortable. We didn't actual use the restaurant but that's because there were so many nice eating places near by to chose from.

Thought the reception area was a bit sparse so first impression was not great, however this was a minor thing really as it proved to be a nice hotel and good to stay somewhere a bit different.

Decor beautiful. Room, separate to the main hotel - very clean, in fact spotless. On the doorstep of Lincoln Cathedral. Beautiful views.

    Nothing to dislike.

The Hotel is tucked away from all the busy bustle of a city though central to Lincoln's cathedral quarter a gem of a find.

A luggage rack to lay our suitcase on would have been helpful

Wonderful location and an excellent breakfast. Spectacular views. An excellent short stay!

The location was wonderful once we had found it. However as there is no local signing we struggled to fine the door!!

I'm from Lincoln yet live else where for work so the majority of friends are in Lincoln. Subsequently I spend many a weekend back home and thus have stayed in many of the hotels in and around the city. Firstly, I'd have to say I didn't know it was there until this visit. Secondly, if you are going to stay in Lincoln just once this has to be your choice. Need I say more? This is the palace to be (intended). The views are the best, the rooms are the best (that I've seen). The location is the best. My lovely City has lots of fine hotels, many in historic and old, nay amazing buildings also but none as fine as this. I have typed the following in the negative but it is not really one; the room was that comfortable, dark, quiet that I over slept and missed breakfast. Enjoy Joe

The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was one of the best we have had anywhere with plenty of choice and good service. The building is lovely and we were staying in the chapel which had been converted to a very high standard. .All in all a lovely hotel.

    Room not very well lit.

location and quietness and the staff were fantastic always smiling and eager to assist.

We had a basic cheapest room which was comfortable and what you would expect but the bathroom could not be described as spacious ours was tiny, again not a surprise but the shower doors did not meet and the floor got soaked every time you had a shower and the sink was tiny with the central tap too large for it which meant you had to swill your face from quite distance and again the floor got soaked.

The hotel is situated in the heart of historic Lincoln within easy reach of both the cathedral and castle and it offers a superb panorama of the city. Parking was free and the setting tranquil with some lovely outdoor space. The breakfast was cooked to order with high quality ingredients. Surely the best place to stay in Lincoln.

Slightly odd shaped room - but then again, isn't a degree of quirkiness part of the charm?

The staff could not be more friendly or helpful. Also the hotel is not decorated with signs telling you what you can and cannot do in the bathroom etc. as most hotels are. A lovely, peaceful place to stay.

Service was excellent, staff were very friendly. Location superb, adjacent to Cathedral and the better end of Lincoln. Restaurant wonderful, sublime setting.

Hotel does not seem geared for longer-term visitors. We stayed for ten nights, they needed to be prompted to change the bed linen after four nights.

Great location in the old part of the city, right next to the cathedral.

SAT NAV will not get you to the location and you will have to phone hotel to get instructions for arriving at the hotel.
