Comfortable large beautiful clean room and bathroom. Lots of antiques Owner was very helpful Breakfast was great garden was gorgeous. It was a nice night and we went for a walk around the area and sat in the garden. Gorgeous.
Refreshments served in the garden on arrival. Gluten free items provided. Beautiful building and very friendly hosts, nothing was too much trouble.
Shower tray requires deep cleaning.
We needed to stay close to Clutton for a wedding and we were glad when we turned up to The Old Parsonage with only a hour to spare before the reception started. The owners booked us a taxi as soon as she had showed us our rooms, both of which were beautiful. In the morning we were given the option of a full English breakfast, made to order, or continental which we all enjoyed, especially the home made bread and freshly brewed coffee. Free wifi was useful to figure out plans for the rest of the day. We would recommend this B&B to family and friends visiting the area. We had an enjoyable short stay.
Loved it all.
Excellent bedroom with a huge bathroom. Great breakfasts, and very friendly owners. 10 out of 10 - looking forward to my next visit!
Nothing I didn't like!
Gorgeous historic house with mod cons and local stone architecture. Loved the comfortable double bed, large bedroom and huge bathroom. Delicious breakfast with a wide choice. Brian and Charlotte were both welcoming and professional - everything was super clean and this carefully restored parsonage was fascinating. A winning combination - we'd stay again for that 'special treat' away from home.
Bit tricky to find on the sat nav - but Charlotte was really helpful on a quick phone call and waited outside the gate to check we were on the right track.
This accomodation was a highlight of our journey. Wonderful house, very tasteful decorated, so you can feel as part of the history of this house but with all the comfort of today and very nice owners who apart from a very rich breakfast gave us a lot of interesting and helpful information. So I hope, it wasn't our last visit.
great stay, very friendly staff, very good breakfast with fresh baked bread, charming histoty place
The owners were exceptional nothing was too much trouble and they were happy to share information about the district and their amazing property. The breakfast was the best that we have had at any B & B we didn't want to leave !
The owners were very welcoming and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast, especially the homemade breads. A beautiful house.
My husband is very tall (6ft6in) so we found the bed a bit short to be very comfortable. Probably wouldn't be a problem for the majority of guests.
Bedroom and bathroom - huge! Breakfast same!
Beautiful home, Owners were very hospitable, accommodating and friendly. Pot of tea on arrival, excellent breakfasts with homemade breads. Themed rooms with period features, four poster bed, high ceilings, shuttered windows.
Minor point was that property backed onto a major road so if you have a room at the rear, windows and shutters would need to be closed if you are a light sleeper. There is a need to travel for an evening meal as the closest two pubs were poor in both cellar management and food quality.
- Location - History - Décor - The owners - The hospitality
We had a very animated discussion about hurling with our host and we learnt a lot about the history of the house and the name of the village. The Old Parsonage was perfectly placed to explore both Bath and Bristol.
We were unable to get a mobile phone signal but that was probably more due to our provider than The Old Parsonage.
Delightful building and delightful owners. Breakfast and home-baked bread. Tips for local restaurants and Wells city cathedral.
We had a pleasant stay. Room was spacious and suited our needs.
The location was perfect - a little village with good walks close to Bath and Wells. A great pub 2 miles away, and a lovely room with gigantic bathroom. This place embodied for us all the best of England!
A warm friendly welcome. Interesting historical building with large high ceiling bedroom. Excellent breakfast prior to leaving. Easy parking.
On arrival a cup of tea was made for us which made us feel very welcome served in the garden. Lovely host's who were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. Breakfast was excellent served with home made bread. Our room was spacious and airy.
The bed was too soft for us. The check in time ws not clear we arrived slightly early although it was not a problem to the host's.
A charming room in a beautiful house. Our hostess was able to recommend us several places to eat out and the breakfast served the next morning was incredible!
Lovely listed house and very welcoming/helpful hosts.
No vegetarian option for breakfast apart from cereal/eggs. Room was a bit dusty (dead woodlice on window ledge and a few cobwebs.) Mattress on bed quite hard.
Brilliant Grade A house dating from 1690's. Very good drawing room. High quality breakfast.
Lack writing surface in room.
Welcomed with a cup of tea in front of the log fire. Lovely clean room and a full breakfast. Very nice lady.
All of it
wonderful house, wonderful breakfast, tea and coffee in the afternoon, we will come back!
