The rooms were warm and comfortable. We ate in the hotel, breakfast and diner both good value with plenty of choice We arrived on a Friday evening and it was busy, there seemed to be a lack of staff so service was a bit slow - however this did not detract from our experience and I would recommend this hotel.

Everything was superb , good staff , good food , good location , good room and good bed. Our room was only superficially cleaned during our 3 day stay . Thick dust on all ledges and edges and tea and coffee cups not replaced daily

Staff very friendly and helpful. Very reasonably priced. Food was excellent and also reasonably priced. Comfortable bar and dining area Good sized room Decor and carpets in bedroom and on landing and corridors was a bit tired. Hotel is on an A road, but we eren't bothered by traffic or noise.

Staff very friendly. Ability to book room only with option of breakfast if required. From the road does not look very inviting - perhaps a face lift to entice people into a lovely building

The Old Pheasant is in a lovely setting and has a real country charm about it. The room was a decent size with all the things you would expect, good bathroom. Bar and restaurant very nice areas. Good value for what we paid. Mattress on bed soft and a bit saggy, not good for more than a night! Service in restaurant very slow and a little disorganized. Food wasn't bad, but my meal in the evening was a bit disappointing. Ate out the 2nd night. New owners though so they may have a period where they need to settle in and some issues will get sorted out I'm sure.
