The hosts were very friendly, room clean (bit warm and window wouldn't open) and food good. The previous reviews stated walls thin and this is true. Luckily not too many guests. We liked the location.

There was a lot of character to the building but the rooms were very modern and contemporary and full of good facilities. Very good food in the pub and for breakfast the next day. Good free plentiful parking. Very comfortable beds

The hotel is in a charming small English village 2 miles from Oakham. The setting is picturesque. The pub has a friendly atmosphere with great meals. The room was large enough for a family of 3. wifi was good. You will need a vehicle as the village does not any facilites including shops.

Food was very good, fresh produce and good sized portions. Staff were very friendly and welcoming Rooms quiet close to one another with thin walls, sadly we had a loud snorer in the room next to us which made sleeping a struggle

The staff were very personable, the food was incredible, and the bed was very comfortable. The wifi worked well, and the surrounding countryside was spectacular. It is difficult to get there without a car, but if you don't mind walking, the country road into Oakham is not long and is a magnificent little walk.

Mine-host (Mark) is an exceedingly welcoming gentleman who cares about his customers welfare. The room was very nice, medium sized and in very good order. The food choice was excellent and, once ordered, cooked to perfection and the drinks were not overly priced for the area. All in all, I would recommend The Plough to anyone travelling in that particular direction. There is nothing to dislike!
