owner was very amiable
having breakfast in the kitchen where it was cooked
Location two good pubs within walking distance. Lovely friendly welcome Spotless
Tv on top floor on landing between rooms with tea and coffee making facilities would have been nice for these to be in room but it didn't spoil the experience.
Friendly host Nice old building Comfortable quiet room Cooked breakfast good
Some decor was a little shabby Host was late to let us in Cash only... no cash point in village!
Our stay was a last minute thing and we recommend staying here everything was clean and tidy was everything there what we needed will stay again I
Got a price reduction.
Booked a twin bed room, but room very small with only stacked bunk beds. Only other furniture was a chair. No mirror, curtains, table lamps, wardrobe or shelves. Beware !!
Nice sized shower, clean airy room, large bed, big breakfast.
Noisy pub clients at 1AM
On suite was a nice supprise, clean, tidy room. Easy travel from b&b to whitby.
Breakfast in the morning wasnt a great experience. Not enough tea and coffee. Real coffee cups would have been nice.
Everything about this B n B was excellent. Clean, comfortable room. Plenty of towels. Very tasty full English breakfast. Staff were friendly and approachable.
No hanging rail for clothes and no towel rails. My son's room didn't have a mirror in the bathroom.
We had a great time at The Old Post Office: we found the staff very friendly and accommodating, the bedroom very comfortable, the breakfast delicious (and thank you for telling me how to do eggs the way I like them!) and the price reasonable. What a lovely place to stay.
The curtains let the light in in the morning (but they do at home as well and everywhere else I've been!). There was some chatter after we went to bed from the back yard next door, but it stopped before it became a problem.
Under new management who are keen to please. Totally refurbished within the last few weeks. Close to runswick bay. This isn't The Ritz but nor are the prices. It is excellent value for money.
A few miles out of Whitby a lovely guest house very clean and everyone you need in the bedroom excellent shower room lovely breakfast. The bus service to whitby was very expensive four of us £5 each when we came back at 11.30 pm in a taxi cost £12. Loverly place ideal guest house.
The shower was amazing, didn't want to get out of it and the breakfast was lovely too. Very comfy bed, slept well. Will definately be coming back.
very nice clean b&b best ive ever stayed in good job we are agile pensioners wanted double got attic bunkbedswere informed by owner 3 days before arrival date too late to get anywhere else on arrival the owner was very appologtic the advert was wrong with booking .com their fault not owners all in all a very nice place to stay breakfast very nice & hot thankyou D
Friendly and efficient owner. Good sized room, very good ensuite. Good cooked breakfast.
Being right next to pub, was a little noisy in evening, with cigarette smoke tending to float in through bedroom window.
It was so clean and a lovely location. Friendly staff. Lovely double room. Modern, light furnishings
The twin room with shared bathroom really was tiny - OK for two children. It was surprising this was only ten pounds cheaper than the on-suite double which was much bigger (e.g. had it's own small tv and tea-making facilities).
This B+B is in a lovely quiet village, but still near to facilities - a few pubs, a cafe/restaurant, newsagent and a chippy. The rooms were newly furnished and decorated. The breakfast had excellent quality bacon and sausages.
You couldn't open the windows in the bedroom. There was a noisy flushing sound from upstairs.
Very clean, pleasant, lovely owner and breakfast was good aswell, really enjoyed our stay there
Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms very clean and attractively presented. Breakfast was very good. The Old Post Office is quite convenient for Whitby (whilst probably a little cheaper).
The rooms were a little lacking in certain details - the main one being a lack of a mirror in one en-suite bathroom; also not a lot of space to store or hang clothes. Also, the B&B is next to a small pub with a rear outdoor space, and there was quite a lot of noise from that in the late evening at the back (obviously not the B&B landlord's fault).
the bed, and the view from the window, and the breakfast was lovely, in a nice area too
i think it could do with a wardrobe, and mirror and shaving point in the bathroom for people who are staying more than one night.
Very welcoming host at this nicely refurbished property. Comfortable room and good breakfast.
Location on a main road. Shared bathroom. A bit overpriced at £56 for the night - £40 max would be more reasonable.
Very clean Extremely pleasant and helpful staff
Only bath available. No shower
Clean and new
Enthusiasm and helpfulness of Daniel
Good veryclean newly decorated
Nothing to dislike but maybe better if was asked what you would like for breakfast to avoid waste
