On suite was a nice supprise, clean, tidy room. Easy travel from b&b to whitby.

Breakfast in the morning wasnt a great experience. Not enough tea and coffee. Real coffee cups would have been nice.

Everything about this B n B was excellent. Clean, comfortable room. Plenty of towels. Very tasty full English breakfast. Staff were friendly and approachable.

No hanging rail for clothes and no towel rails. My son's room didn't have a mirror in the bathroom.

We had a great time at The Old Post Office: we found the staff very friendly and accommodating, the bedroom very comfortable, the breakfast delicious (and thank you for telling me how to do eggs the way I like them!) and the price reasonable. What a lovely place to stay.

The curtains let the light in in the morning (but they do at home as well and everywhere else I've been!). There was some chatter after we went to bed from the back yard next door, but it stopped before it became a problem.

Under new management who are keen to please. Totally refurbished within the last few weeks. Close to runswick bay. This isn't The Ritz but nor are the prices. It is excellent value for money.

    Nothing.

Friendly and efficient owner. Good sized room, very good ensuite. Good cooked breakfast.

Being right next to pub, was a little noisy in evening, with cigarette smoke tending to float in through bedroom window.

It was so clean and a lovely location. Friendly staff. Lovely double room. Modern, light furnishings

The twin room with shared bathroom really was tiny - OK for two children. It was surprising this was only ten pounds cheaper than the on-suite double which was much bigger (e.g. had it's own small tv and tea-making facilities).

This B+B is in a lovely quiet village, but still near to facilities - a few pubs, a cafe/restaurant, newsagent and a chippy. The rooms were newly furnished and decorated. The breakfast had excellent quality bacon and sausages.

You couldn't open the windows in the bedroom. There was a noisy flushing sound from upstairs.

Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms very clean and attractively presented. Breakfast was very good. The Old Post Office is quite convenient for Whitby (whilst probably a little cheaper).

The rooms were a little lacking in certain details - the main one being a lack of a mirror in one en-suite bathroom; also not a lot of space to store or hang clothes. Also, the B&B is next to a small pub with a rear outdoor space, and there was quite a lot of noise from that in the late evening at the back (obviously not the B&B landlord's fault).

the bed, and the view from the window, and the breakfast was lovely, in a nice area too

i think it could do with a wardrobe, and mirror and shaving point in the bathroom for people who are staying more than one night.

Very welcoming host at this nicely refurbished property. Comfortable room and good breakfast.

Location on a main road. Shared bathroom. A bit overpriced at £56 for the night - £40 max would be more reasonable.

Room was clean, bed comfortable and view from window to hills above the village a bonus. The breakfast was superb. Bar meal and real ale in the Brown Cow next door was also very good.

    Nothing at all

it was all nice and fresh because it was just opened that weekend the bed was so so comfy and the young guy who owned it was really friendly and helpful . there is also a pub right next door so always handy .

we were the first group in on the first weekend and we had a shared bathroom which wasn't a problem but it was a bath rather than a shower which would have been better but they did say they had one lined up to fit so hopefully next time it'll be there

The owner was very helpful and polite and did make us feel very welcome. The rooms were VERY clean, ideal for an over night stay but rooms we felt are abit sparse of furniture etc . The location was lovely , we had a meal in the pub next door which was good value although from the outside it looks a bit un-inviting its worth a visit. The parking on the road outside for us was not a problem although it was limited.

we felt it could have done with a mirror in the rooms and something to hang clothes on and to put toiletries on. Our room only had a set of bunk beds , a chair and a bin in it . The other room we ,had two single beds and a foot stool. It was ample for our two night stay but wouldn't want to live out of a bag for any longer. The Bathroom was again very clean but would have liked a shower rather than just a bath . However we would happily stay here again for an overnight stay!!!!!!!
