Helpful friendly staff
Friendly staff and good room. Nice old building with lovely features. Food was good and well presented. Very warm and the bedding was of good quality.
Mattress could do with being replaced.
The Old Rectory is very near the centre of Annan in a lovely quiet street with its own car park to the rear. The owner was friendly & attentive as well as serving a great breakfast in the morning. Our dog was welcomed here and we'd definitely stay again if we were in the area. The Bluebell Inn is worth a visit - dog friendly with decent real ales & friendly staff / customers.
Some Restaurants & local chippy closed at 8 on a Saturday night.
the staff where very friendly and the place clean and good choice of breakfast in the morning
that we did not have longer to stay another night
I have just returned from 3 nights stay at The Old Rectory, and cannot recommend it highly enough. We stayed in a lovely room facing the front. It was a good size with all the facilities you would want. It had a nice bathroom with a big shower and was very clean. What made the stay special, was the family who run it. Dave was very helpful and friendly and makes a great breakfast. I asked for poached eggs (not on the menu) and nothing was too much trouble. The wifi works well and I would definitely choose to stay here again. Annan is a great base for all the local tourist spots, we hadn't stayed in Annan before but really enjoyed our stay. Room Tip: We stayed in the room called Lochmaben. Lovely room.
very friendy staff. the owner help us with a problem we had with the car and even let us use his car park. excellent service.
Large & comfortable room, location near the firth, great restaurant Del Amitri within walking distance, onsite private parking
When we arrived we couldn't get acces to the guesthouse (no response to doorbell), however solved after a few telephone calls.
Congenial hosts, wonderful old house. Have stayed before and found little changed other than ownership. Breakfast was more than adequate. Car parking tight but when isn't it in the UK.
Can't think of anything.
A pleasant stay even though only one night, clean and tidy. Helpful with directions of a function we were attending locally and the breakfast was really lovely!! Would definitely stay again.
Only comment was to the rear car park and garden area which was untidy, however, it was cleared up by the time we returned and made such a difference to first impression
Convenient to motorway, in quiet location with all facilities.
Hotel owner well informed and obliging had gluten free toast ready as per my message and gave very good tips on local attractions. Breakfast was great. Would go there again.
Local restaurants not great for limited diets. Would use the microwave provided in the dining room to nuke my own food next time!
Breakfast was good
The whole house & garden was very run down, all needed a lot of TLC definitely was not worth £65 prpn.
Nicely modernised building while keeping best features of the original. Warm welcome and very useful suggestions re restaurants etc within walking distance. Old Rectory is only a couple of minutes walk from the town square. Good choice for breakfast. No problem to park in the street.
The owners were friendly enough
The place itself could do with a good tidy. Inside and out. But all in all it was suitable.
Friendly and very helpful - we would stay there again. Thanks Dave and Tara!!
Lack of top sheet on the bed.
All was great. Would stay again and certainly recommend!!
Pretty good place over all, rooms were nice and clean, staff were friendly and very understanding when someone threw up all over the breakfast table (very heavy New Years Eve!) good location, best pubs just around the corner, would definitely recommend this place. Very good that they also allow dogs!
terrible wifi signal!
Owners friendly and welcoming. Breakfasts were very good. Facility to have on-site therapies.
Our bedroom, whilst comfortable for sleeping had only the bed + another single bed on which to sit, which I don't find comfortable. a guest lounge would have been welcome. The bathroom is poorly provided with hooks etc for towels & clothes
Easy access and parking. Comfortable hotel. Excellent breakfast. Good location to walk to shops and restaurants.
The hotel was clean and tidy. David and his wife were very friendly and most helpful. Good location in Annan. Good parking. Good breakfast. gave us exactly what we requested.
