Location is a bit remote, which makes it magical. Absolutely wonderful breakfast, gardens and rooms. Spectacular views of the valley all the way to the sea. Recommending to all my friends.

The host and staff were excellent gave us a great bit of history of the house and the area. The gardens were worth the the price of the stay. Breakfast was wonderful.

The house had a lot of history attached to it which the owner was happy to share with us. She also welcomed us with tea and coffee upon our arrival and was happy to show us around the estate which included a visit to the pigs, hens and ducks! Much of the food was from the garden.

There was nothing not to like during our visit.

Made to feel very welcome, Greeted by lovely Sally,Millie the retriever, a fresh pot of tea, biscuits and freshly cut flowers from the garden for our room. The breakfast choice was very good and all cooked to perfection. I especially liked the organic yogurt with the home grown fruits along with the scrambled eggs and salmon. There was a lovely relaxed atmosphere around the breakfast table. Lovely to meet such nice people. We stayed in Emma's room and loved it, so clean and welcoming. The rest of the house was to a very high standard. With fabulous views of the garden. Will defiantly return as excellent value for money.

    There's nothing to dislike!!!!!

Sally was a marvellous, friendly host and took time to tell us all about the area and the history. The room as very comfortable and had lovely views over the garden and surrounding countryside. Breakfast was delicious and promoted home-made and local produce. Sally also offered to dry all our soaking wet walking clothes and boots overnight, which was a great help. We absolutely loved our stay and hope to return one day.

My only slight issue was lack of toiletries in the bathroom.

Warm welcome and garden tour from host Sally. Lovely food, including booked evening meal, around a communal dining table. Sense of family history. Good location.

Need to follow website directions exactly rather than satnav necessarily, as it is a little off the beaten track. This is a warning rather than a criticism!
