Felt like a home from home owner was very friendly breakfast was superb room was very nice with kettle, water, sweets and other little treats definitely would like to return as a leisurely trip instead of buisness
There was nothing to dislike for me really enjoyed my brief trip
Friendly helpful owners Good breakfast
Shower didn't drain and left an unpleasant smell
Everything about this place screamed ENGLAND! Loved it!
Nothing, evwrything was grand
Old home charm in historic village. Quiet location off main roads. Excellent full breakfast. Hosts friendly and provided area information and touring suggestions.
Closeness to village and good local food. lovely old building
A gorgeous period B&B in a small English rural village. Few minutes walk to the village and church. Went to the local pub for a delicious dinner and didn't use the car for the time we stayed there. Very relaxing and welcoming.
Lacock shutting down at 9pm!
The location was excellent, a very quick walk into Lacock. The bed was very comfortable and the window seat was a real treat. Breakfast was very tasty.
Room was clean but very dusty.
The staff was welcoming and helpful; it has a nice location close to an historic old town - very nice breakfast included in the stay!
Room very small overpriced compared to others. Cleanliness needs addressing
The host as well as the ambience were outstanding. And the breakfast was delicious.
The location was great
Staff not helpful, sent email prior to staying got no reply, owner came across very snobby and bossy, I sat at a table and she told me to move around to other side. At the time I had a knee injury and needed the space to keep my leg outstretched and out of way of others bumping my leg. Found stairs very difficult not offered a room on lower floor when she saw I could hardly walk
Owners helpful and polite. Room comfortable.
Room tired - needs decorating. Breakfast sparse.
Very near the village of Lacock - easy walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast gave a good choice and was very good.
If we stay again we would book an en-suite room but the separate bathroom was the only booking available for the dates we selected.
Unable to do breakfast until 8.00 so agreed to have juice and cereals at 7.00 however milk left out was sour.
Most beautiful area. Great place to stay. Very helpful staff
very relaxed place to unwind /english beauty
We were made very welcome. My husband and I had th bishops room which was a large room with a four poster bed and views down the long drive. The location was great for exploring the nt village of lacock
We enjoyed a lovely comfortable stay at the Old Rectory with pleasant patrons, clean, comfortable accommodation and lovely breakfasts. Just on the edge of Lacock but a very pleasant walk into the village. We'd certainly stay here again.
Fab location, very helpful staff, lovely character - buildings and garden.
Rector's room not en suite and so HOT due to heating pipes. Would book this room in winter though!
We booked a room in the rectory with a four poster bed. We had to book in between 5 and 7, when we arrived we were told it was doubled booked and were allocated a self catering cottage in the grounds instead, too late to look elsewhere, very disappointing.
Breakfast served from 08:30 is rather late. Limited check in times
States on booking.com site and confirmation that debit/credit cards accepted but would only accept cash/cheques on checkout despite our querying this on check-in. Took five minutes standing in pouring rain before someone answered the door to let us in and twenty minutes to find someone to check us out. Limited breakfast time, choice for breakfast once made remained for stay. Despite pre-advising of dietary requirement not aware of how to comply with request properly.
Liked cooked breakfast- excellent Free to wander in grounds Interesting historical property loved by our American friends
Friendly staff, great environment, romantic and clean rooms, nice pubs in the neighbourhood.. Loved it and would definitely come again if i pass by...
