The bed, easy access to town and nice breakfast. Owners helpful and pleasant
TV too small, shower head broken, no hairdryer in room, and baby crying in the room next door
Friendly and helpful owners Close to town location and onsite free parking Nearby small pubs, shop, takeaway Very clean room and facilities En-suite Very good value for money
Shower spray head strange horizontal position! (minor point)
Nice greeting. Clean room. Tea and coffee facilities.
Fire alarm went off at 5.30am - owner took 10 minutes to come from next door to investigate - no idea why it went off - not her fault but poor lack of response
Great location for my son and myself. Great room and staff would definitely use them again.
The breakfast was excellent value for money. The food was hot, well cooked and very tasty. Plenty of tea/coffee and toast.
Ease of parking, fridge, it was a hot night.
Bed was a bit soft.
The fridge that was included in the room was a nice touch together with being able to make tea/coffee with the water boiler.
There wasn't any bad things to notice. The service was amazing
Was a quick booking no problems owners were a lovely couple. Room was small but cozy.! Bed is the best nights kip I had for ages.! And a fridge in the room! Brilliant for long term/contactors ! :) pub and an off license next door!
Friendly staff, good breakfast.
I found the town centre location very useful. I loved the quirky en-suite arrangements. The room was a comfortable temperature.
I think the mattress had partly collapsed, leaving a crater that I kept falling into as I tried to sleep.
Room was on a small side, but quite comfortable, containing shower cabin en suit toilet, a kettle with tea/coffee, standard double bed and a small TV on a wall. We were friendly greeted by the host. Located about 10mins walk from trains station, with large Asda less than 5 mins walk and very close to the local hospital. small friendly indian take-away nearby and a couple of corner shops.
The entrance to the B&B is a rather dark sad looking and has institutional feel. Breakfast room is not very welcoming either. The room was better, not purposely build, carpeted with shower cabin next to the bed with a newer addition of a separate toilet. The walls quite thin, so you could hear people in neighboring rooms taking showers or boiling a kettle.
Loved the friendly welcome, and that our room was almost motel style at the rear of the main building so I could park my car directly in front of our door. It was in a great location for us, near to a pub and a large supermarket. Wifi and freeview were also welcome. We were in the area because my daughter had an interview nearby, so we wanted to stay the night before, rather than do a three hour drive early in the morning. Breakfast was great, freshlly prepared, hot and just the right amount of food. Friendly and polite service. I had booked a twin room so was pleasantly suprised to find a double and single bed in the room.
I would have preferred teaspoons in the room rather than stirrers as I'd brought my own coffee and we had picked up some snacks that required teaspoons in the local supermarket!
town center very nice ,Lady of the house was very pleasant and welcoming,
nothing springs to mind,my husband said a bigger TV on the wall would have been better , he had to squint to see the TV, MEN!!! haha
Free Internet connection.
This hotel has nothing even close to the proposed three stars. It looks like crappy motel. There is no reception and front door is locked all the time. When I called the bell, a painter came to give me keys. Room was extremely small, TV smaller than my laptop's screen, furniture is old, bed uncomfortable, shower barely works because of low water pressure. I will definitely not recommend it for anyone.
the very friendly owner
very poor furniture, bad area, no decoration at all
Owner v helpful Fridge in room Clean and tidy
Bit cold in room
friendly welcome and good service. Convenient for bus/rail stations and local shops. Quiet location ,but near town centre. Good breakfast at a reasonable price
Breakfast room was basic and not really separate.
Stayed in The Old Rectory Guest House previously and found it very good and convenient .Having come back about a year later I found the same friendly welcome and First Class Service.
