The Old Rectory  

It was Number 1 on Trip Adviser. I arrived late and the Chef had finished however he said it would be no problem to cook me something - did I want Sea Bass or Duck. Both sounded delicious. I choose Duck -it was exquisite. Breakfast, with locally sourced produce was delicious. Service fantastic. Real hospitality Highly recommend

Really appreciated the hospitality, the building, the cleanliness, lovely room with a comfortable bed. We only stayed one night and the dinner was wonderful. Thank you Chris. Our hosts and our waitress at dinner were all very friendly. we will definitely visit again.

There was the sound of the boiler? during the night and I would have preferred fresh juice at breakfast.

Every aspect of our visit to this hotel were faultless, from the staff, all of whom made you feel very much at home, the room, which was spacious warm and comfortable, to the food, which was a delight. We will be back!!

Everything

The hotel had a lot of character and our room was very cosy. The room was also very clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a good size, once again extremely clean and no shortage of towels/toiletries. Breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice available. Overall the hotel was an ideal location for the city centre. I would most definitely stay here again!

Chris, Sally and all of the staff were polite and extremely helpful. The room was well appointed and the bathroom was enormous!! The food was cooked to a high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. If you want to stay, in comfort, in a place convenient for the country, the sea and the city, then The Old Rectory is the place to go.

The Old Rectory is in a great location for Norwich City Centre but is surrounded by a beautiful garden (with swimming pool) which makes it feel quite rural. The building itself is beautiful and the rooms have been well decorated in keeping with the style and period of the house. What really made our stay, however, was the food and service. The owner and all the staff were very welcoming and the standard of service very high. The evening meal was superb and breakfast also very good. We would certainly go back if we wanted to stay in the Norwich area.

We were made to feel very welcome. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Good location, regular buses to Norwich so you don't need to take the car in, close to the broads, coast and some National Trust as well. Ideal for a short break city/country. Excellent evening meals, let them know in advance if you are vegetarian and they will do a special menu for you. We ate there three nights out of four and the menu was different each time. Personally run hotel so everything is individual. Hits about the right point on the value curve for us, good quality and it doesn't feel as though any short cuts are taken, but it doesn't seem too expensive.

The room was very cleaned and the staffs were very friendly and helpful. One night we had a problem with the matress but they did managed to sort it out. The food was really tasty and even offered me a special diet, gluten and lacto free replacement meals. I would highly recommend this hotel.
