The owners were very friendly and helpful. She is a superb cook, and much of the food was sourced from their garden - eggs, honey, marmalade, all excellent. Home made bread. They have evidently put a lot of thought into refurbishing the old house, and it shows. Our room and bathroom was of high quality. A very nice stay!
There was nothing at all to dislike.
Welcoming couple and superb room / house! Best place we have ever stayed in! 100% recommend! Well worth the price too!
Adrian and Rosemary were friendly hosts, providing very good accommodation.
attention to detail ...tea and homemade cake on arrival, fresh jug of milk for your room, locally sourced breakfast items, clean and fresh smelling bedding and towels, tastefully decorated rooms, friendly and professional owners.
Can't think of anything.
Good welcome. Comfortable room. Good evening meal and breakfast.
all of it was superb - the HUGE room, the food, the hosts, the grounds, the location, those wonderful little touches like home made cream tea on arrival, flowers in the rooms etc etcc
we LOVED everything
Adrian and Rosemary offer warm hospitality in this beautiful house and gardens. Lots of thoughtful touches, from home-made biscuits, fruit, magazines and fresh flowers in the bedroom to afternoon tea on arrival. It was a great treat and we wished we had more than one night. We'll be back!
Warm welcome and delicious tea tray in the tranquil garden. Beautiful quiet and peaceful room and superb breakfast in the morning. Nothing too much trouble for these wonderful hosts in this characterful property.
Really well appointed accommodation with well considered extras to ensure your comfort. Excellent baked goods and breakfast. Rosemary & Adrian were very friendly and welcoming and went the extra mile in providing directions and suggestions for eating out. We won't hesitate to return.
Rosemary & Adrain are such lovely people made us very welcome.
Luxury, ambiance, quality and great hosts - everything you could possibly want! This includes an ice bucket and flutes for the champagne we had brought with us and an emergency birthday card. Superb!
ALL ! From the very warm and friendly welcome of Adrian and Rosemary to the afternoon tea (extraordinary home made pastry). The dinner (Excellent. Thank you Rosemary!). The location. The quietness. Don't forget to visit David Austin for its famous roses and the RAF Cosford Air Museum just next door. A pity we only stayed one night.
The weather. It rained at the end of our afternoon tea.
The whole experience was wonderful, from the meet and greet to the goodbye. Excellent
Should have stayed another night :(
Tea and cakes in the beautiful garden. Our room was huge! and tastefully decorated. Welcoming hosts who were very attentive. I chose the English breakfast that was well presented and not at all greasy, would recommend!
Not one negative comment to make.
Excellent welcome. Beautiful room and quiet location. Very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom - bathrobe a nice touch. Delicious breakfast. I stayed at The Old Rectory for a business trip to Telford but this is definitely a place I would stay for pleasure. Wish I'd had time to visit the old church and spend some time in the gorgeous garden.
Very friendly and relaxing stay.
Wish we could have stayed longer.
Lovely property, welcoming, friendly and attentive hosts. Very comfortable ground floor room with its own external access. Well appointed shower/wet room. Extensive breakfast menu. Very enjoyable stay.
The welcome was so friendly great breakfast. The rooms were comfortable. Very clean and tastefully decorated
The roundabouts and sleeping policemen
Lovely personal touches. Homemade shortbread with recipe to take home, fresh fruit and flowers in the room. Lovely friendly hosts, Adrian and Rosemary made us feel at home. Gorgeous, peaceful gardens. Would definitely come again and have already recommended.
This place was a complete culture shock, fantastic setting, the accommodation was spotless and extremely well presented, the owners made us welcome from the second we arrived, afternoon tea in the garden sun glinting through the trees, the birds singing, what an idealic setting, rooms were perfect, we both felt calm and relaxed from arriving to leaving, the breakfast was really good with quality local produce. The price, I would gladly pay at least another 50% more it was that good, it's over 200 miles from we're we live, we will be back soon and stay awhile and sample an evening meal, if its as good as breakfast we can't wait.
Having to leave, we had booked at another hotel, and considered cancelling the next hotel booking and stay awhile!!
Lovely house, homely, and comfortable. Very friendly and welcoming hosts.
Adrian & Rosemary were very warm and welcoming. The 'Clayton' room was excellent and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the food was outstanding.
The welcome by Rosemary and Adrian with home made cakes and tea in the garden was excellent. Breakfast was cooked beautifully and plentiful using locally sourced ingredients. The Rectory is a lovely old house with a homely feeling. If we return to this area we would gladly stay here again.
Nothing to dislike.
A very friendly welcome, super afternoon tea in the most beautiful peaceful garden, excellent hospitality, very comfortable room, excellent breakfast. If conference is in Telford next year will without reservation book again.
