The rooms were luxurious with all home comforts. The staff were extremely attentive, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble- a restaurant was recommended and a taxi booked for us. Wine and spirits were brought to our rooms immediately on request with ice. It was home from home and we were sorry we were only staying overnight. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the journey ahead.I would highly recommend this guest house for outstanding comfort and service.I will definitely return.

Quality of service, and excellent breakfast, would like to have stayed longer (if a second night had been cheaper), close to pubs/restarants and nearby attractions.A very warm welcome, and departure, both members of staff very friendly, and helpful.I liked the large efficent shower, and complimentary items. Unfortunatly the bath had a step into it and was to deep for me personally, so i did not have use of this.My husband felt the bedroom was 'too flowery for his taste', but enjoyed the experience none the less.

Very friendly staff. Excellent reception, room was very clean .Breakfast was first class. It could have been made clear that we could have booked for dinner before we arrived, and could benefit from a bar being in place. Would be nice for more lighting by the front door. Convenient location for Ironbridge area.

Our stay started off with a problem with one of the rooms touilets overflowing (these things happen). The toilet was repaired within the hour (out of normal workibng hours). The owner did everything that I would of done myself to rectify things (cannot do better than that - haha). He found out we were there for my 60th Birthday, and when we checked out, he presented me with a bottle of wine and a large box of chocolates. - yes - we would recomend and stay again. Please pass these comments on. Many Thanks George Szeborowski (60 years old, boo, hoo!!!)

We loved everything about this place. It was probably the best B&B we've stayed in in England. The room, bathroom, staff and breakfast were all fabulous!

Our stay was a little disappointing,on arriving we had a good welcome, shown to our room, the room was very clean and lavishly decorated. It was my wifes birthday on the sunday we arrived and we were both hungry and very disapointed to find out that the restuarant was closed on the sunday evening, even a sandwich was out of the question as she is diabetic and needed to eat, though we were advised of a local shop or nearest pub serving food still not the same as eating in house. The room was very nicely decorated, very clean and of the highest standard though it would be better if there was a bath in the bathroom and the washbasin was in there also and not in the room and the chaise lounge was very uncomfortable. My wife was disapointed with the breakfast she found it tastless and greasy. I suppose we would stay again but in a different room and a day when the restuarant is open. Restuarant was closed on the sunday. Chaise lounge uncomfortable. Building mess in front of the hotel. Washbasin in the main room.

Close to Ironbridge - very friendly staff and comfortable spacious room. I would have liked a sitting room to use in the evenings.

A very warm welcome for two weary travellers. Spacious room with good facilites for tea and coffee. Very comfortable double bed. Relaxing ambience. Excellent information about local restaurants. Handled a gluten free breakfast smoothly. Good choice of fruits, yogurts as well as traditional dishes. We left feeling we had been very fortunate to have stayed there and would recommend it to our friends. We were tired on arrival and did not read the information provided until we were having early morning tea. So we did not realise that some options of the cooked breakfast needed to be ordered in advance. Suggest guests are alerted to this fact. Also we had a simply marvellous meal in the evening.so found the amount of cooked food on the plate at breakfast sadly just too much. Perhaps smaller portions with the offer of some more. However, we realise that this is probably our mistake, two super meals in 12 hours! Some extra shelving would be helpful in the en suite rather than the potted plant. Suggest extra outside lighting by front door.

The standard of accommodation was first class and my wife and Icould not praise the quality and quantity of the breakfasts highly enough. We also had a three course dinner in the restaurant on our first evening and we were presented with far more excellent food than we could possibly eat.The owner (David) and his staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.An altogether pleasant stay and we would have no hesitation in recommending The Old Rectory to other travellers. Only minor gripe was that our shower was a bit too fierce !.The food quality was so good that it would have been nice for the dining room to be open for service every evening.

The double jacuzzi and breakfast were really good The room was a bit smaller than expected, but then there was a large jacuzzi in the room, where we spent most of our time and it felt very luxuorious. It was a great way to spend a special birthday. The check out time was a little early and the reception closes at 9pm so we had to make sure we got there on time and had to leave early.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Lovely room. Good and plentiful food. Convenient location for the Ironbridge area. Whilst the food at the restaurant (open only two nights) is very good it was rather large for our small appetites. Meals have to be ordered in advance which isn't ideal and the restaurant closes before 9pm with no alternative facilities.
