Jeff made me feel like I was a home
Nothing bad - all good.
Excellent host in a lovely home with character and a very friendly dog.
Friendly host, near to pub and restaurants and ideal location to get to other attractions. Clean, comfy room with ditto en suite.
You are in the home of the owner and therefore share the space but he does stay in his own quarters of the house.
The room was very lovely and it wasn't an issue that the bathroom wasn't an en suite as it was right next door and private to us. Our host was very friendly and very accommodating.
Lovely house and facilities, Jeff is a great host, really friendly.
Very very friendly host, stunningly beautiful house, wonderful historic town.
Jeff and Zoe his dog gave us the best welcome ever. cannot fault this place at all! Attention to detail was amazing. Will definitely be returning.
Jeff is a great host and the facilities are good including an extensive DVD library.
Just what you want from a cosy B&B with the added extra that you have the freedom to use the house as if it is your own.
No onsite parking. All night parking available in town square approximately 100m away. Must park elsewhere on market days. Minor inconvenience only.
Very convenient location, friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms, TV many DVD,s, good WIFI. Generous self service continental breakfast.
The fact l was only there for one night.
This was a beautiful little building in a gorgeous small market town. The old stables feels like you're in your own home and you're felt to be a part of the family. It was nice to be able to go to the kitchen at any time to make yourself tea or coffee and the light breakfast of cereals and toast was just right. The room I had was out of some romance novel with it's whinding stair case up to it. I found the old furniture so lovely compared to clinical places like a Premier Inn. The bed was so comfortable l didn't want to get out of it and l will definitly be staying here again the first chance l get. The owner was so nice and friendly and suggested lots of places to see in the area. He also had the most gorgeous little dog who was so friendly.
The acommodation was pleasant in every respect.
Parking. But, was ok, just parked in the adjacent street.
Beautiful old house Decent continental breakfast Great Host Cozy home from home
Could do with a clearer picture of the house as quite difficult to find. May be a street view map.
Bed and facilities were good, explanation of breakfast was good, a help yourself (just like being at home)
Very pleased we picked the old stables. The owner was very friendly and welcoming, it was everything we was looking for and more! Only wish we stayed longer!
Lack of parking
Tea making facility in the room would have been appreciated.
Very pleasant, able to have a good meal in nearby hotel/pub 'The Bell Hotel' just a short walk away.
- Parking a challenge but not impossible
- Friendly and helpful landlord - Dogs are allowed - Home from home - Quaint, quirky and cosy - Excellent wi-fi - Quiet town centre location
bathrooms, bed and bedding, breakfast, welcome, staff
Very friendly owner, lovely house, very authentic, we felt very much at home
The dining options in the village are a bit limited.
Jeff is very friendly.
Breakfast was disappointing. Our hostess offered to get us anything we wanted from the shop (cheese, eggs, bacon etc) for us to cook ourselves in the morning, but we had an earlyish start so just made ourselves tea and toast. The kettle warmed the water but didn't boil so I had to make my tea using a saucepan on the hob. This wasn't what we expected, and perhaps if the owner had been there he would have cooked breakfast. We missed our full English.
The location was perfect for us. It's a very pretty house close to the villiage, but nicely tucked away so it's quiet. It's a lovely old building and the decoration and furniture is in keeping with that, but all mod cons are available. The bedroom was a good size, bathroom was clean with all the accessories you could need and the bed was big and comforatable. Being an old house none of the surfaces were level, but that's part of the charm of staying in an old cottage. Guests had use of the kitchen for tea/coffee/biscuits and the lounge for TV/DVDs
Nothing at all.
Quite clean room, comfortable double bed and nice English breakfast. Jeff was a great host, and his dog Zoey was so lovely.
Nothing all good
Location, cleanliness, home from home.
