The evening entertainment with our friends
The night was good but the room was full of cobwebs there was damp electrics were dodgy and not worth what we payed I could have stayed in any B and B for half the price and had a cleaner room the room it self was nice and could have been great it was the damp on the ceiling and the Cunard wall looked like it was about to fall down and there was no soap ither and only a little toilet roll I don't think the cleaners had done there job the night we stayed
I loved the decor of this old building together with the querky appearance. Food was of a high standard with excellent service. I will certainly recommend this to colleagues and friends
Poor mobile coverage but that's not really a fault of this business
The staff were friendly, the food was excellent and the beer was fine. Good atmosphere and general ambiance. I stayed at The Bull because I was attending an evening meeting in the building and was surprised at how quiet it was in my room, considering that there is a major road junction just outside, Do not be put off by that.
The only negative things I can think of were the cost (it was beyond the purse of the Chairman of the Forestry Commission who attended the same meting as I did) & that my duvet was too short for a really good snuggle.
Rooms were so special and we were made to feel so welcome. We used to be in the pub trade and know how hard this business is.staff were a credit to you.keep up the good work.
Bed comfy. Staff helped us with our bags, very polite and courteous. Nice bathroom. Bedroom was very 'cosy' but we did book a cosy double so can't complain. All round, very good. Would stay here again if in the area.
The staff were very friendly rooms were nice warm and clean. Bar staff were very friendly nice calm atmosphere.
Lovely stay, great food
Very welcoming and cosy atmosphere. The facilities in the room were excellent and had such a great night sleep.
Breakfast was great and the staff were helpful & friendly. Nice boutique feel and great for a quick stop over.
Comfy room but it faced the main road. The room was very hot despite trying to turn the radiator down, but we couldn't open the window as the main road was too noisy. Also the shower leaked all over the floor and we had to ask for soap on the basin.
Very informal receptionist
Comfortable room, good location and nice breakfast.
Excellent bathroom/shower facilities combined with comfortable bed. Quirky bedroom in terms of the floor area - the old nature of the establishment has meant the floor area was topsy turvey. Made for interesting navigation across room.
Nothing, would definitely use this hotel again
The location was excellent for us as it happened to be en route to our destination, otherwise I might have been more hesitant to stay close to such a busy road. Restaurant was excellent, we had a lovely meal and amazing desert. We had one of the cosy rooms but it was bigger than I expected and the bathroom was excellent although shower only.
The restaurant and breakfast was fairly pricey.
Our room was spacious and quirky, loved the big bed and bath. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.
Staff were helpful and pleasant and the food is excellent
Food was excellent!
Tired themes and generally dusty with poor attention to detailed cleanliness
Excellent, nice rooms, good food and very friendly staff. Approx 10 min outside Newmarket. Definitely recommend
all very good no complaints
Could not fault anything. Great reception, lovely staff, wonderful food and choice and room well up to expectations.
Not staying for a second night
The room was cosy and very comfortabke , the bath in the room was pefect and very relaxing . Staff were very friendly and food excelent . We will definately visit again .
Very friendly staff and owners, with excellent food in the restaurant. I liked the hotel's quirky decor and theme.
Friendly staff, nice decor, lovely food what more could you ask for !
Service Comfortable bed Food was delicious
Breakfast was not included in the price The décor in the bedrooms Internet was intermittent There was a step into the bathroom that wasn't easy to see and I hurt myself - tripping going into the bathroom
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The size of the bath in the "Princess Room" was awesome.
Walking to our room (we were very kindly shown to it by a friendly member of staff) there was toilet paper on the floor in the corridor. The room wasn't as big or as good as we were expecting. Unfortunately there were bulbs missing from the plastic chandeliers and these were also covered in dust with a couple of cobwebs too. The toiletries in the bathroom were a shower gel and a shampoo. We didn't take any bubble bath with us as we assumed that it would be provided considering the bath was a selling point of the room. There was tea and coffee in the room but no water. I know this sounds picky but when you are charging expensive rates then these things should be as standard. The walls were a bit dirty and there was still hair in the sink. It's a shame that breakfast isn't included in the price. If the cost was about £30-£40 cheaper then we would've definitely recommended it. But for how the inn is marketed and priced it isn't value for money.
Very pleasant stakk
lack of wifi connection
From the very first conversation the staff were considerat and understanding opening up the room early so I could get ready for a wedding I was attending, organising transport and making myself feel welcome.the room was as discribed cosy, clean and what turned out to be a quiet nights sleep in a very comfortable bed.I chose the cooked breakfast produce was fresh and plentiful.the bread is made local and well recommended.the property itself was set in delightful grounds and the house was well kept in line with its age and history.I would be very happy to recommend this quirky, friendly abode to anyone who wishes to stay in this lovely location and my thanks to all the staff for making me welcome.thomas Renvoize london..
