Food was excellent!
Tired themes and generally dusty with poor attention to detailed cleanliness
Excellent, nice rooms, good food and very friendly staff. Approx 10 min outside Newmarket. Definitely recommend
all very good no complaints
Could not fault anything. Great reception, lovely staff, wonderful food and choice and room well up to expectations.
Not staying for a second night
The room was cosy and very comfortabke , the bath in the room was pefect and very relaxing . Staff were very friendly and food excelent . We will definately visit again .
Very friendly staff and owners, with excellent food in the restaurant. I liked the hotel's quirky decor and theme.
Friendly staff, nice decor, lovely food what more could you ask for !
Service Comfortable bed Food was delicious
Breakfast was not included in the price The décor in the bedrooms Internet was intermittent There was a step into the bathroom that wasn't easy to see and I hurt myself - tripping going into the bathroom
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good. The size of the bath in the "Princess Room" was awesome.
Walking to our room (we were very kindly shown to it by a friendly member of staff) there was toilet paper on the floor in the corridor. The room wasn't as big or as good as we were expecting. Unfortunately there were bulbs missing from the plastic chandeliers and these were also covered in dust with a couple of cobwebs too. The toiletries in the bathroom were a shower gel and a shampoo. We didn't take any bubble bath with us as we assumed that it would be provided considering the bath was a selling point of the room. There was tea and coffee in the room but no water. I know this sounds picky but when you are charging expensive rates then these things should be as standard. The walls were a bit dirty and there was still hair in the sink. It's a shame that breakfast isn't included in the price. If the cost was about £30-£40 cheaper then we would've definitely recommended it. But for how the inn is marketed and priced it isn't value for money.
Very pleasant stakk
lack of wifi connection
From the very first conversation the staff were considerat and understanding opening up the room early so I could get ready for a wedding I was attending, organising transport and making myself feel welcome.the room was as discribed cosy, clean and what turned out to be a quiet nights sleep in a very comfortable bed.I chose the cooked breakfast produce was fresh and plentiful.the bread is made local and well recommended.the property itself was set in delightful grounds and the house was well kept in line with its age and history.I would be very happy to recommend this quirky, friendly abode to anyone who wishes to stay in this lovely location and my thanks to all the staff for making me welcome.thomas Renvoize london..
Staff, food, accommodation
The hotel manager was very pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent.
Our room was at the front and because it was warm, we had the window open so had a lot of traffic noise.
quality of food, sourced locally was superb
Lack of bite in Irish Coffee - couldn't taste the alcohol at all !!
The menu and quality of the food including breakfast was very good. This was enhanced by exceptional service.
The bar and breakfast were a little expensive, more in-line with a hotel, particularly mixers.
People are nice but hotel is a bit stuffy which is normal if you use thick carpets and difficult to clean heavy curtains
Rip off cost
£175 for one night with no breakfast because Newma Key racing is on is exhorbitent
The food was excellent
The price of the food was just over what I would think was fair priced. Also, the menus were photocopied and didn't give the impression of a two roussette restaurant
Excellent hotel. Clean and comfortable friendly helpful staff with excellent restaurant and bar food. Style and design different and quirky. We loved it
fantastic atmosphere, fantastic food fantastic place
Great place to stay ..excellent homely feel to it.
Bar Food was excellent. Rooms were fun and quirky.
Expensive Breakfast, for the price should of been inclusive
Staff, food and character.
Chilly in room no heating available. Dirty cushions needed wash. Stair carpet needs a good hoover daily...not done at all. Room carpet not hoovred when we arrived. Tea tray inside tiny cupboard where you hang clothes. Towel rail but not on...no means to dry towels..remained wet.
The quirky design of the rooms ...
Felt the food was a bit pricey ...
Atmosphere Staff helpfulness/friendliness Food Comfort
Bottled water in room would be good
