Dating from the 14th century, The Old Vicarage offers cooked breakfasts, a pretty cottage garden and rooms with historic features. The hotel is situated in Bridgwater, in scenic Somerset.

The Boat And Anchor Inn is set in Huntworth, by the canal and 5 minutes’ drive from Bridgwater. Looking onto the Somerset Levels, this traditional English country pub and restaurant has free Wi-Fi.

Close to highway M5, the family-friendly Premier Inn Bridgwater is well placed for Wookey Hole and Cheddar Caves, within driving distance of Wells, Glastonbury and Burnham-on-Sea.

Rosewood House offers both self-catering and bed and breakfast accommodation in the serene Somerset countryside.
Score from 66 reviews Wonderful
Busy road Bar a little without atmosphere and quite clinical food menu limited quite expensive for bar food. Breakfast not until 8 and late !!!! (didn't open until 08-10)
Dirty room, dirty shower, cobwebs in room, cheap pillows, threadbare towels, shower was hot but ive seen better watering cans. Overall the place is run-down-for £95 you would expect something half decent-even the breakfast was poor(but edible). I suspect that at some point in the past this was a really good place-now it needs a major rethink-deep clean and reminding that it is guests who are paying for their keep. Vastly overpriced for whats on offer.stayed in better B/B`s. would reccomend at all. to top it all the free WiFi is rubbish...
The location suited me for where I was working but it is just too far out in the middle of nowhere to be any good to anyone having a holiday
The price of the meals were far to high for the quality, room was very unclean, bed was ridiculously uncomfortable!
lovely view, has potential to be good.
Bedroom smelt strongly of smoke although a non smoking room. Loose fittings in bathroom and main door; un-comfy bed quite creaky. Small, thin towels. Wet paint on outside wall which got on my hands. Fittings and fixture a bit DIY. Sound proofing in room poor as could hear conversations/telephone calls from next door. Breakfast average. Would not visit again or recommend to others. A bit Fawlty Towers!
Owners and staff are delightful, rooms excellent, food simply wow.
lovely views from room and balcony, excellent evening meal, friendly staff and good service.
Breakfast times too early and no sausage on full breakfast.
We liked the location and the veiw from the room. The evening meal in the restarant was highly enjoyable with execelent service and food.
We were very disapointed when we went for breakfast as we orderd a full english and was surprised when they gave us microwaved scrambeld egg,two bacon and tined(rubber) mushsrooms and half a tomato with some cold toast.Room for inprovement. After packing and leaveivg our room to cheak out,we found that the hotel was all locked up with only a phone number on the front door to call, to be told just post the keys through the letter box, more comunication needed with guests.
excellant food and very helpful staff.
hotel room in need of decorating, marks and scuffs on walls, and little outdated.
Friendly owner and staff e.g. putting on heating early as we were chilly! Great food, the lamb shank especially is top class, better than many top London restaurants. Great suite for people with mobility problems with large walk-in shower. Good range of beer and wine.
TV and Wi-Fi signals can be a bit patchy but I am really splitting hairs here - the occasional streaming problem on the TV set does not prevent this from being a top notch place to stay!
Comfortable bed; nice room; clean bathroom; beautiful views from the balcony. The food in the restaurant was excellent; tasty, hot - nice staff - good value.
We had a dirty hand towel in the bathroom and the other towels looked like they had seen better days! The bedroom door is flimsy and rattles every another door is open in the corridor. The service at breakfast is pretty slow - we were not in a hurry so it didn't really matter.
Restaurant evening meal was good
Bedroom very old fashioned walls need a like off paint the whole room needed a complete update. Room number 1. Would not recommend Only 1 hour slot for breakfast not very convenient. Booked for 2 nights only stayed one.
Lovely view from the gardens and the potential of the place
Broken curtain rail which was held together by duck tape and lightshade full of flies indicated lack of attention to room. Was expected poor service at breakfast and regrettably, the waitress was just as previous reviews had confirmed. Basic breakfast menu but everything was too much effort for her and she made that very clear in her behaviour.
The hotel has wonderful views across the Somerset levels. The rooms are positioned to make the best of these views with balconies or patios facing the view. The food is excellent and staff are pleasant and friendly
The decoration is a bit bland, could do with more character. The restaurant is especially awkward, a bit barn like.
The room was nice and the bed was very nice, the Manager was very helpful with information on where to go and what to do
The breakfast was awful the worst I have ever had! the girl serving was under a lot of pressure and the bacon was sad and tinned mushrooms please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ease of access from motorway; view northwards across the Levels. Great head of water in shower
Stayed on a Thursday night early in September, so maybe more vibrant at busier times. Earliest check-in 5.00 pm. Uninviting dark bar area doubles up as reception. Access to rooms outside round the back across unattractive car park. Room on the small side although views pleasant. Little things - cracked sink, stained sealant round shower; no information pack. Restaurant almost empty and echoey. Whole thing - not awful, but not memorable either. Felt more like an old-fashioned US motel.
Room was lovely, a little small but the balcony made up for that. On main road but not disturbed by any noise. Restaurant food delicious. Good value for money.
Breakfast menu was lacking in choices & could be improved. Service quite slow for evening dinner but they had a wedding in the restaurant so understandable.
The location - close to M5 and a stunning view from our room.
The place was lacking in atmosphere and the staff were not particularly friendly.
The View was good especially if you had a balcony to sit on and the view from the terrace/patio was the same. The staff were very friendly and helpful, I have soya milk and they supplied it for me. Breakfast was freshly cooked not the usual buffet.
Room was a bit small. Shower could have had more power. No fruit or yoghurt was offered at breakfast.
Everything including the excellent food and view from our room.
Having to leave :(
Lovely view. Spacious room. Good location. Nice food.
Room not well cleaned. Wifi so weak as to be useless; I never managed to complete a connection. Can't enter restaurant area from near room (next to restaurant) - have to walk right round to front in all weather. Felt understaffed. It would seem easy for this place to be much better, but they need to make more effort.
Lovely location relaxed and comfortable staff very polite and helpful
Bathroom in room 6 needs sttention damp ceiling otherwise very clean
Soap would have been useful. Washing hands with a tube of shower gel not so helpful....
Lovely location. Some rooms have balconies.
The menu has limited vegetarian options and when asked if there were any other options we were told the menu was it. This meant having to drive to street for dinner both nights. The kitchen is right below the rooms and the cooking smell is very strong at night in the rooms. The wireless was spotty and there was no signal in the breakfast ro at all.
Accommodation was peaceful and generally clean. Bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. I would recommend staying here if you're only going to use the accommodation as a base.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing with egg on toast being the main option every morning. Restaurant is on the main road which, whilst good for passing food trade, meant that you have to go everywhere in the car. We would have liked to have gone for a walk during our stay.
