Staff were nice. Good parking possibilities.
Breakfast was horrible and in a stressful environment. Shower was either boiling or cold, bathroom was not fresh. Bad sound proofing.
The service from the front desk The efficiency of the front desk Keys stopped working for everyones rooms meaning that there was even more of a delay. The beds are cheap and extremely uncomfortable. The wifi is poor.
The bed was quite comfy
The breakfast was terrible with no fresh orange juice, it tasted like squash. The tea and coffee was of poor cheap quality and horrible. The bathroom had seen better days and was scruffy. Fortunately we didn't have to stay long and was glad to leave.
Close to Sport Facilities of Historical site for Paralympic Games and to Stoke Mandeville Hospital National Centre for Spinal Cord Injuries. Easy and designed for people with wheelchair and their relatives
Breakfast is available outside the hotel, 3 minutes walking at the Sport Centre Cafeteria.
Convenient for Stoke Mandeville Stadium. Disable people accessible i.e. wet room, wider door frames. Clean. I could keep my bicycle inside the room. Friendly and helpful staff. Bed comfortable but a mattress a bit too soft for my liking. Free parking and good wi-fi
Bed comfortable but a mattress a bit too soft for my liking. No breakfast included in price which made it a bit pricey for the standard offered.
Value for money, friendly staff, great with my assistance dog, free (proper!) wifi
Bed wasn't great (unusual as most rooms here are lovely) & TV was on the blink (though with wifi I could watch online!!)
giving the disabled people a chance to work but they need more training see red screen
no food, cold room as the window was left open ,bed was too soft for me ,no pictures or bed runner just not a nice room to look at and not enough parking for non disabled people even though the disabled parkig was not used while I was there. The staff need more training because they gave the wrong information .Why not have a logo that says something like run by the able bodied and the disabled for the etc then we would know what was going on
Space in the room and in the bathroom. We liked the peacefulness of the lodge
We had no dislikes.
The staff wer friendly. The place was clean if expensive
No Wifi in the rooms
location, always have vacancies as this is a place everyone else avoids.
I was told that I would get a call back and never did, no wifi, yuck room.
The room was a nice size, bed was cosy
I wasn't allowed wifi access because they'd already reached their capacity. That was ridiculous...
Clean and the bed was comfortable
Comfortable bed Helpful staff Flexible approach to visitors' needs Close to work Lots of parking Big rooms easy to get in and out of Clean
Hard to find; a sign with the name on is a must Nowhere close by to eat and nothing on site No outside space such as a lounge or public area so you are just in the room TV hard to see!
the receptionist on tuesday 21st of this month was very helpful. I was travelling somewhere i didnt know and she went to a lot of effort to print me out directions and put them under my door before she had finished her shift.
I was room 7 and there was a fair amount of noise, i had to be up very early so this was not ideal.
Everything was terrible
The noisy lift alert right outside my room all night followed by the noisy kids n parents using the car park as a throughfare. Lost count of the amount of stains on the hallway carpet. My chair in my room was either too short or the desk too high for disabled access making me need numerous pillows to jack me up to a decent working height!
Beds were soft and lumpy. The bathroom needed renewing, it was tired and scruffy. Insufficient parking outside of hotel.
A room badly set out , BATHROOM mouldy and stinks FLOOR stayed wet all night , alarms were going off all night disturbing our sleep .
Handiness to the hospital
We had some very heavy footed elephants in the room above us, if we need to go there again we would ask for a top floor room
The staff were friendly and pleasant. The facilities very good.
One bedside lamp would not work and the TV would not come off of standby in the morning and most of all the water would not run hot in the morning.
Location easy access to Stokemandeville Hospital
Having to leave building for Breakfast!!!!
Wet room with outstanding shower. Large room Looking at the stadium Staff very friendly
to be honest nothing
the bathroom was dirty and limscale every place, parts was falling off the wall, the place has not been dusted i did not even use the shower, only 1 towel. the lift was bleeping every min of the day ... it felt like I was in a hospital ward. The guy on reception looked unclean. this gave me a bad impression of the place as soon as I walked in ..
large room and large bathroom
carpet was awful. retained the heat and bedroom window could not be opened fully. Mattress of very poor quality. Showerhead didn't work properly and was badly taped (old)
We did a stop over during a week end away good value for money but did nt realise that we could of used swimming pool and facilities what was a shame
Rooms a bit tired could do with up grading
