The Oriental is one of Brightons original boutique guest houses. It is full of character and just 55 yards from the beach. The guesthouse has an excellent central location. Central Brighton, the Lanes and the Brighton Center are within a 5-minute walk. The Oriental has individual modern service and style. The Regency guesthouse has been highly recommended by the AA and recommended by, among others, Lonely Planet, Time Out and both The Guardian and Independent newspapers. Once home to the notorious Brighton Belle nightclub, the guesthouse has attracted many well-known guests. Hotel Rooms: 9 Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 17:24 from United Kingdom.

Quiet but quite central location. Good-sezed room. Nice walk-in shower and decent, comfortable bed. Everthing worked well - hot shower and plenty of storage. Could see the sea from the window if you poked your head out, but also very close to shops and restuarants. Staff were very attentive but not overbearing. Quirky decorations - might be a put-off to some. Good breakfast in an atmospheric breakfast room / bar. Nothing, really. There is no lift, so people who have walking difficulties might get anxious about the stairs.

I stayed at The Oriental in 2011 and enjoyed it very much so I decided that I would book myself into the Oriental again in 2012. It is a very clean and tidy hotel, the breakfast menu offers a choice of full English breakfast or Continental breakfast and there is a nice choice of cereals. I also found the staff to be very helpful and pleasant. I intend to return to Brighton in 2013 and hopefully stay again at The Oriental.

Excellent staff and fantastic location. Room was a bit small if you were staying for more than one or two nights, but we only stayed for one so it was fine.

Great room and a great place to stay, I found the memory foam matteress comfy but my girl friend struggled to get comfy. Ben who was around during breakfast was very friendly and chatty so our morning started well, full English breakfast was both plentiful and good on the taste buds! Reall enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the oriental to anyone. Our room was at the top and it's stairs all the way just something to bear in mind.

The Oriental was clean, well decorated, staff were helpful, breakfast was yummy and the guesthouse was in a very convenient part of Brighton. Very busy at breakfast time - maybe worth going downstairs slightly earlier - it was a Monday morning and packed!

The position was excellent; very near to the beach but also to the centre of the town. The bus service was frequent and reliable. It might be a good idea to leave a bus schedule in the room for guests. The breakfast was delicious. The portions were generous and kept us going to the evening. The reception was good. I appreciated using Occitane products during the stay. The breakfast room was very pleasant but a bit crowded one morning. Most of the time there was plenty of space. The last morning there was nobody to collect our keys and we felt a bit awkward to just go without saying thank you and good bye. We did ring the bell. The room was fairly basic but clean. The most annoying was the creaking floor. The decoration of the room could have been cosier.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Oriental, our twin room was perfect & really homely - all the personal touches really made our stay and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Food was great, room was perfectly clean. It was also very handy that we could leave our bags before checking in and after so we didn't have to drag them around. We have absolutely no negative comments and in fact are going to look into visiting again for some christmas shopping later this year!

Very welcoming team run The Oriental, our room was a good size with luxury stylish decor and furniture. A minute from the beach in a very quiet road (bar the seagulls!). Thoroughly enjoyable stay.

As soon as we stepped through the door we knew we were going to be able to totally relax. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Decor was amazing and the whole place had a lovely warm vibe. We thoroughly recommend booking a massage through the hotel as this was heavenly. We can not recommend this hotel enough. Thank you and you will see us again soon.
