we booked a room for 3 adults and were under the impression that we'll get 1 double qnd 1 single bed. We got a mattress on the floor for the 3rd adult which was totally uncomfortable and created backproblems for the rest of the stay. |

The breakfast was beautifully presented and tasted just as good. Front room a bit noisy at night time. |

I really enjoyed my stay, I was there visiting a friends birthday, hotel bar was in the same room as where the breakfast was served, which was really comfortable the staff are really chatty and down to earth. Breakfast was a good hearty english fry up which wasnt too greasy and they also had other choices of food stuffs for those that dont like a fry up. No not really, maybe that the shower cubicle didnt leave me alot of room, the shower head itself was massive, which although at first I thought looked great but didnt think about the process of actually showering, the head is fixed so you cant turn it which makes covering yourself in a nice soapy lather a bit difficult as you cant get out the way of the falling water (I am 6ft and not fat before... |

Nice rooms, good bed. No aircon, so open windows plus nearby hostels, late bar opposite meant the worst sleep ever! |

We appreciated the hotels proximity to the beach and to the shops, bars and restaurants. The room was at the back of the hotel and small very hot and stuffy with no air con and we could not open the window. They provided a desk fan which did no more than move the hot air around. |

Bed, excellent spring mattress - the mattress was really so so comfort - the best bed in all hotels that I stayed ever! And the blanket! Usually I am always cold at nights in hotels and I always need an extra woollen blanket which is usually fool of mites - but not in Oriental! And very good breakfast. And separete WC and shower. And L'Occitane supplies in bathroom! Maybe the view. My bedroom window has a view in dinning room and a reception, so I have to have the curtain down all the time. |

Staff were very welcoming and atmosphere was laid-back The wait for cooked breakfast, which was excellent, was unduly long. |

Very relaxed and private. Nice modern rooms very close to the beach and 15m walk from the centre of Brighton. Would visit again. Slightly thin walls - but didn't really cause any problems |

The Room at the Oriental was furnished in good taste, the bathroom section was clean and warm. The facilities in the room were of good standard and the little touches offered by the hotel made a positive difference ( Fresh bottled water daily and the drink making facilities ) The area looked run down,Lots of places to let or for sale, which was unfortunate as the owners had clearly made an... The parking was a problem as you needed to use off site facilities of which access times to get at and use your car were limited. The staff were ok,on the last day one in particular liked clearing your breakfast away before you had finished making you feel you needed to hurry up. |

It was different and more personal that a large hotel. I thought the call before I came was a very nice touch. The breakfast was great. The see through door on the loo, not very private abd the bath was quite hard to get in and out of as you had to climb over the end. |

Very relaxing. No pushy front desk and everybody really friendly. Room was fine, beds very comfy and bathroom a real surprise. It was very cold and wet the weekend we stayed and a very nice touch was to have 6ft radiators between the floor to ceiling windows which we could regulate. Nice toasty room. Great location too. I have a real problem with hotels that only allow you to stay both nights of a weekend rather than just the Saturday but if this is all I could fault ( not even sure if it was their policy or just booking.com's) then you could say I really recommend it. Would definitly stay again. |

Excellent room Only comment was breakfast waiting time for fruit and yogurt, balanced against "personalised service" |

The hotel was a gem, exactly what I hoped it would be. The lady, front of house, was extremely friendly, very professional and went out of her way to accomodate any queries we had about the hotel and, as importantly, the area. The room was fine for our needs with nice touches of luxury bathroom products and free water etc. Very enjoyable experience and we will definitely stay there again. |

breakfast was lovely there wasn't a door to the bathroom as it had been broken by somebody so they put a curtain up which wasn't really acceptable for a £120 a night room |
