- Hotel is near the beach - Rooms are cosy and very comfortable - Superior room comes with a wonderful whirlpool bath - Breakfasts are delicious and generous - Staff is welcoming and helpful - Interior decor is modern and ravishing - Very appreciated complimentary snacks, drinks and bathroom products. The perfect place for a romantic week-end!
- No double glazing so it can be a little noisy at times, but fortunately the hotel's street is very quiet.
The staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel just perfect.
Wi-Fi didn't work in my room, so I needed to work in the lobby.
The breakfast was great. The complimentary drinks was a rare and lovely touch. The staff are beyond helpful and very friendly. Hotel itself is nicely decorated, clean and comfortable, and within easy reach of everything
Arrived late evening due to flight delay. Excellent staff, nibbles in the room very welcome as hadn't had any dinner. Comfortable bed, good facilities.
charming place, lovely people
good value for money excellent friendly staff trendy quirky rooms
Friendly helpful staff, personable and kind. Very knowledgable. Pleasant breakfast, lovely building and room interiors, decor was very nice.
Room was rather small for the price. Slightly cramped
Nothing to dislike
Staff we friendly helpful and keen to make the stay the best ever. The attic room bed was sooooo comfortable and made up for every one of the 71 stairs (pre warned). The extras in the room were fab, crisps, sweets and chocolates. Breakfast was delicious
The stairs are tough but hey think of the calorie burn
Helpful & friendly staff, great facilities, ambience, tasty breakfast, comfortable & clean room.
Long climb up to the upper floors, which was advised on booking.
The staff were so friendly and made the whole experience welcoming - we actually looked forward to going back to the hotel at any time of day. Good advice on where to eat and visit was always available. Breakfast was really tasty and well presented, and again the personal service was delightful,
Service of staffs are excellent.
Room is a little bit tiny but clean
From arrival to departure both Lola and Jarvis were extremely kind and helpful, even marking on a map places of interest within Brighton. The room was incredible and like a glamorous home from home. The breakfast was lovely, with several options and Lola was nothing but helpful and attentive topping up drinks etc. We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for an aaaamazing stay in Brighton!
Everyone member of staff was so friendly and did everything they could to make our stay perfect. Breakfast every morning was delicious and the room was spotless. Location was perfect, 15 min walk to the town center and 2 min walk from the seafront. Will definitely be staying again when we're next in Brighton
1. Extremely nice and accommodating staff: I had a late arrival and keep emailing them about my delay on the highway. Even at midnight, the owner explained every detail of the guest house. 2. Essential facilities are all in the room: wifi, kettle, tv, etc
1. They stopped serving breakfast at 9:30. 2. Narrow staircase cannot allow me moving big luggage easily. 3. Seagulls (not the hotel's problem), their voice wakes you up in the middle of the night and early morning.
I love the feel of this place-a lovely breakfast room welcomes you in at check in-it's decorated in a really funky way and Lola is one of the nicest people I've ever met! Our room was similarly styled in a really cool way-great colours, comfy bed, great shower room. Little touches like an aromatherapy lamp with some essential oil sums up how chilled and relaxed this place is, in an ideal location for exploring Brighton. Breakfast was generous and nothing was too much trouble from all the staff we met. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!
location , breakfast hotel very good, but all the staff were wonderful. we will go back again to this hotel mr bj burrage
The Oriental is ideally placed within sight of the beach and right near the nicest parts of town. Inside a lot of charm and arty decor creates a very relaxed holiday feel. A good place to come back to.
Staff were really helpful and friendly. Bed was super comfy. Breakfast was amazing. Great selection of refreshments in the room and even some chocolates! Perfect location for shops, restaurants and seafront.
Accommodated my late arrival (22:15) without any issue. Single room small but with everything needed - bed, desk, own bathroom. Clean, lots of nice touches, great English breakfast
Tricky to find from a drive past at night- no big sign outside minor gripe - no English "builders" tea just assorted fruit flavours in the room
Great location, room a little small but on ground floor so very convenient. Breakfast excellent
Position of television
perfect room bed and lovely staff！
The very helpful and useful information regarding Brighton from Jarvis and Aidan.
Lovely room, great breakfast – and, above all, such welcoming and friendly staff, who were genuinely interested in their guests and went out of their way to make conversation. We will certainly be considering The Oriental again for future return visits to Brighton
Nothing to dislike really!
