No hot water on second morning!
Nice setting, very spacious room, very clean, very helpful main reception staff.
Breakfast was per cooked for the breakfast period. If you came after 9 it was a little overlooked. Tried ringing room service, still waiting for a reply. Long wait at the spa reception.
The room was very good in every respect.
Room layout very confusing. Morning papers not as ordered, the Financial Times only comes out on a Saturday not the Sunday so I received it twice.
Modern facility in a lovely setting with great views. We enjoyed a visit to the pool and jacuzzi followed by drinks on the terrace. A nice way to finish a day of Oxford sightseeing.
Room ambiance and size Very good restaurant
Fantastic Restaurant, faultless staff and extremely comfortable room and bed. Great stay.
Breakfast was busy but the waitress handled well the requests of our guest.
Barman was unable to do a dirty martini. When I ordered he had no idea what I am talking about...
Delightful location. Pleasant, Unintrusive yet attentive staff. Nice modern facilities.
Nothing to dislike.
The staff are incredibly helpful and the suite was beautiful! Would highly recommend this hotel. The spa is also beautiful.
Very clean, helpful staff, comfortable bed, great bathroom, lovely room. Good breakfast.
Great views but our room looked out on a brick courtyard which had no foliage whatsoever. Great spa but closed at 8pm so we couldn't use it.
Rooms were clean and airy, staff were very friendly and helpful, restaurant had lovely views although bars were disappointing in atmosphere.
Food was lovely but we were told restaurant was full by reception on second day but when we went to the restaurant they got us in straight away. Could have done with mini bar and dressing gowns that would have been icing on the cake.
Room very comfortable and peacful
A bit impersonal
The bathroom was sub par, bad attempts at sealant in and around the shower, not hot water in the morning :( The spa was not really a spa, no robes/slippers/staff. The facilities are aged and not spa like. More like a public pool with a sauna and steam room. The door handle to the sauna is rotten and hanging off.....not the spa experience I expect.
Quiet location, everything you would want for a relaxing weekend. Good breakfast.
Don't think there was anything to dislike about the hotel
Leisure facilities were nice, breakfast was good, were staying to shop in Bicester and the location was good for that.
Group of golfers who were very rude and thought that they had sole ownership of the bar area. Thought that the cost to play golf was expensive for hotel guests there are other courses locally that charge far less, guests should get a better rate than that offered.
The food was very good and the waiting staff were excellent.
We could not get any treatments, which was very disappointing. There was no warning on the website to pre-book and this was a huge disappointment. This hotel was not value for money in the opinion.
The place was nice, breakfast good and their service was good
1) They wanted to charge us 10 pounds an hour after 11am checkout, paying over 300 pounds for a 2 night stay and then wanting an extra like that is unacceptable 2) Wanted to play golf early Saturday they said it was reserved for members till 10:30 BUT no one was playing 3) Asked to join up with other players and they said they do not do that and would not even help arrange it.
staff freindlyvery helpful/ accomodating. Lovely peaceful location, but still close to Oxford for more entertainment
The beautiful scenery around the hotel, the comfort of the rooms, the view from the upstairs bar, the wildlife on the golf course, the friendliness of the staff, the clean state of the rooms and surrounds, the location allowing us to tour stately homes and gardens with ease.
The lack of a stool or chair in the disabled bathroom.
Fantastic staff and facilities. Lovely restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
The decor in the bedrooms were much more stylish than the exterior of the hotel; the exterior dated but interior really nicely modern.
To go along with the feel of the bedrooms, the bathrooms could have been upgraded slightly but they were clean which was equally important.
Good pool, sauna and steam room facilities, friendly and attentive staff, nice grounds
The building itself is a little "characterless"
The Spike Bar was supposed to be open until 6:30 but infact closed at 5:30
The hotel in general, views all around hotel, especially a breakfast over the golf course. Food very good!
Had to wait nearly 1 hour for my main course!
