Lovely friendly reception & a wonderful b&b, clean, lots of little extras
I stayed here this week for a business meeting. Nicky was very welcoming and friendly. The room was superb and very comfortable. I will certainly be back
Wifi was a little temperamental
Our stay was perfect in all respects and on top of all that the breakfast was just the best. We were made to feel so welcome and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back.
Nothing at all.
Great welcome, enviroment and host great
The Paddock at Peacock Farm was the perfect place to spend a few relaxing days away from the frantic city life we are accustomed to. On arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who made us a cup of tea and recommended places to visit. The owner Nicky was an absolute hoot and ensured our stay was first class. A great location and the customer service was better than 4/5 star hotels we have used. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
No complaints whatsoever - 10/10.
Nicky was very helpful and friendly- the ammenities were great, I would definatley stay here again
Comfortable and clean room. Pleasant decor and surroundings . Excellent restaurants near by. Location a couple of miles from main road making travel easy.
Owner had arrange evening party for her family. She asked that on our 2nd day, if we would have breakfast in our room and she pass it through to us. The reason given was in case the breakfast room was left untidy from the party. We were happy to oblige but then found she was serving some of her party guests breakfast in the conservatory. Yet her paying guests had it in their rooms!!! Felt we had missed out on a relaxing breakfast with the other quests and a work around should have been made by the owner. There was no mention of the party at time of booking or in the week before arriving..
A very warm welcome, lovely location, excellent facilities and a delicious breakfast. What more could you ask for?
The warm welcome. Friendly hostess. Lovely surroundings. Excellent breakfast. All facilities.
There was nothing to dislike.
I arrived at 10:00 pm having had a difficult journey. I had a little trouble finding the accomodation but the welcome that Nicky gave to me more than compensated for any slight travel issues. Nicky took the trouble to call me to guide me in - she was worried as I was later than expected. Nothing was too much trouble, a light supper with a glass of fine red wine was made available to me and a nice cosy chat to settle me in. An excellent breakfast sitting in a lovely dining area with patio dorrs open and the sun streaming in.
Only that I could not stay for longer than 1 night
Greeting from Nicky was terrific, straight into tea and cakes, most welcome as we had cycled 45 miles from Derby. Lovely ground floor en suite room with its own kitchenette (in a cupboard) stocked with all sorts of food. Very pleasant walk along disused canal into Redmile village to Windmill Inn for a good reasonably riced meal. Breakfast first course in our room then an excellent cooked Full English in the dining room.
Rather a lack of sound insulation from the room above, the guy was an early riser with early phone calls as well. WiFi didn't work during our stay.
Everything..........and it's rare for us to say that !
Failure of the Wi-Fi system for the last day.
Great facilities Nice fridge and self cater facilities Very clean and tidy Great Peace and quiet
Good family atmosphere. Self-contained family room with very good amenities
Nice friendly and efficient service. Nice room with new ensuite bathroom. We were allowed to have our two dogs with us. Great place for walks. Excellent position for going to many local attractions including a really good pub just down road.
Well apart from a loose toilet seat, which wasn't really a problem, nothing we can think of that we didn't like. And the toilet seat will have been fixed by now :-)
Every thing I required for the most comfortable of stays in a country side setting was to hand. The breakfast choice could not beaten with sparkling water in the fridge and a multi fruit basket .Nicky, the owner/manager could not have been more helpful and drove me down to the excellent local pub/ restaurant. The shower was excellent as was my two night stay...
Friendly welcome, lovely room in a great setting
A most enjoyable stay which we hope to reoeat.
The rural location and the warm welcome we received.
The room was a bit small for three adults to share.
Everything about this B&B was excellent. It ticked all the boxes for us. The room was beautiful and lovely and warm. Nicky and her family were so welcoming and friendly, it was an absolute delight to stay there. We are just trying to find an excuse to visit again in the warmer weather to enjoy the "hot tub" and maybe take the dog !!. First class accommodation with lovely family.
Didn't like.........leaving !! Wonderful stay.
Everything was excellent, no problems
