Hosts were very welcoming and due to their efficiency, were able to check in early when we arrived. The rooms were immaculately clean with the 'extras' which you normally have to ask for, left out on a table on the landing and in a fridge. Breakfast was excellent. Location was good, quiet and on the outskirts but only a 5 min walk to the centre. Bus stop not far if you wanted to venture further. Can't recommend enough.

This property dates back to the mid 1800's and was a meeting house and stables joined together to make what we now have as "The Paddock Guest House."
We have both lived in the area all our lives and have run "The Paddock Guest House" since November 1999. We have 2 lovely parks in the town where we enjoy taking our Grandchildren to play, they also love walking to the top of "Latrigg" and looking down on the town. The theatre by the lake is a favourite place to go and always very busy.
We have so many activities on the door step. The parks have cricket, football, bowling, tennis, play area, putting green and crazy golf . Swimming pool with wave machine and slide. Lake with motor boats and rowing boats. Lots of mountains to climb and paths to walk. Plenty of shops and restaurants.
