Fantastic hospitality Staff so friendly and helpful. Will be back soon, the location is just right just a quick walk into the village.

Friendly, flexible staff, who were keen to accommodate us. A very decent breakfast at a good price. Much better than staying at a faceless chain hotel. Rooms were a bit hot, but cracking a window open soon solved that!

Clean and tidy and only couple miles from Donington park circuit Only one thing about it was that there was no wifi.

I get comfort from the bed and the bath/toilet modern and clean. The room set up was perfect and tranquil. Stale biscuit was left in the box staff did not respond quick enough to change single bed to double as booked. I had to stand in the room for 105 minutes after a long day. I would not like to sit on the bed in case there is going to a room change.

Really enjoyed our stay and the room was a good choice as it led out directly to the carpark very helpful as we had our two dogs with us. Staff friendly and helpful and the evening snack we had in the bar was very tasty and not expensive. It suited us for what we were looking for, a one night stay on the way back from the lake District. If this was in hertfordshire the restaurant would be very well used! The car park was scruffy with litter scattered around. It needed some tlc.

Very nice room , the shower was poor, we booked 3 rooms and the showers were poor in all 3 rooms, but that was the only let down , the staff were good as was breakfast .would stay there again without question.

Nice alternative to larger hotel chain airport hotels & close to E Midlands Airport set in rural village.Full English breakfast was very good! We will stay again

The real ale was very well kept and the food was truly amazing. Some chef they have there. The bed was huge but the quilt not so huge.. So had a midnight tug of war with my partner

A lovely welcome to proper English pub. The owners really enthused about their business and it showed in the detail. The biggest surprise was to find a chef who trained with Raymond Blanc,worked in a 3 Michelin star restaurant in Paris and worked for the Roux brothers. Go there,eat, drink and enjoy the country side.

Lovely room, friendly staff and lovely quiet location with a great restaurant and pub type bar. I did think that the price was a little much for saying that it is a reasonable walk out of Melbourne, and I expected that more than just a continential breakfast would be available.
