Room was cold Ben was not a double
Breakfast and durprisingly quiet location.
Room very warm as per our request hotel very clean
this was a little complaint but breakfast and checking out was too early a) was a Sunday and b) valentines weekend. Breakfast 8;30-9;30 checkout 10;30
Very close to town centre. Clean and comfortable. Good cooked breakfast.
Nothing at all, happy with every aspect
Really pleasant staff in an ideally placed hotel. Food was very food and plentiful. Rooms were clean and bed was excellent. Will recommend to anyone wanting a nice relaxing stay in Eastbourne.
Lovely and warm
Sea gulls noisy but what does one expect at a seaside
The hotel was recommended by two other parties who had stayed there recently. It was beautifully clean, the staff and management were superb and although I was only B&B the breakfast was lovely. Free parking was available outside the hotel via a permit from the hotel.
I think that I was possibly the only guest and the hotel probably was open only for the Xmas parties for various groups. In my case the lounge was taken over by a crowd who obviously had been celibrating and were a bit noisy, However, the hotel has to suvive during the winter months so I accept that sometimes these things will happen
very comfy , super breakfast, staff very friendly , all clean and tidy . will go back again. able to park outside was great. nice large bathroom.
squeaky floor in bedroom was just alittle too much , could not step too far without a squeak.
Practically everything. The hotel was everything we expected. The staff were very good, breakfast was great. The Christmas decorations were lovely.
Whilst it was a bonus to have free parking it was still something of a trial to get back outside the hotel once you moved your car. The shower whilst perfectly adequate was very slow to drain away and not too easy to set.
The lounge area was pleasant, although it did not seem very well used.
We thought the bedrooms were in need of an update. Also parking was a nightmare - perhaps something could be arranged for more disabled parking. Does your hotel have entertainment at any other times of the year.
Comfort, convenience and cleanliness. Obliging nature of all the staff. Quality and choice selection of breakfast. When Jerry and I booked the accommodation and paid for it, we didn't realise how proximately located the hotel is to our conference venue: the Devonshire Park Complex.
Slight shoddiness and cheapness of furniture in bedrooms for example chipboard manufacture of wardrobe in my room. Also Room 303 was right beside a flat piece of roofing, which attracted pigeons who warbled ad nauseam in concert with each other. It was like living and sleeping in a dovecot. I would definitely avoid that room next time. Maybe I should have asked to be re-located.
All the staff are so friendly and welcoming - great breakfast too!
Only having wifi in public areas was a bit of a drawback as I had hoped to be able to make a Skype call over the weekend. However for other purposes, there is plenty of public space available and it's a good connection.
Easy walk into town or the beachfront. Very good breakfast, loads of choice. Nice old worldy atmosphere with cosy lounges. Excellent value for money
Would have been nice if there was a more extensive a la carte menu for lunch and supper. Set menu only for dinner.....sandwiches for lunch. But thats only a minor gripe, loads of take aways within walking distance.
Staff were very friendly and allowed me to check in early as my room had not been used the night before.
Parking is on street parking and could be difficult to find a space. (there is a very cheap multi-story car park round the corner though if it is impossible to find a space)
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Comfortable lounge, availability of tea, coffee and drinks to groups in the lounge and the opportunity to relax with friends. Good food and plenty of it.
Poor access to Wifi
Location excellent for all amenties and the Hotel was comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice. Staff helpful.
Room required some TLC but we only slept there!!
Location, atmosphere, food, staff and room.
Leaving! My stay was all too brief.
bed overing & very large lamps on bedside lockers... no room for personal bits!
Great value for money, good food ,helpfully staff .
Comfortable beds, good location, friendly staff
Faded room decoration, wood chip wallpaper, no shower curtain for shower head over bath, bedroom quite cramped
The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The hotel was friendly the staff were nice. The flowers outside were lovely and gave the hotel a positive feel. The room was comfortable, everything that we needed. We would recommend this hotel.
The bar at night was not used very much. My husband & I were the only one's in there but then I saw over breakfast we were younger than quite a few guests. I like a bath but I ought to have asked before I booked the room.
close to the sea nice staff big rooms good service
can be quite loud outside only separated beds interior is rather old fashioned
Very good location, promenade short walk away and shops close by, parking outside hotel, staff very friendly and helpful, food good, bedroom could be updated but on the whole we found it adequate for our stay
