Location was ideal
I could feel the springs in the bed so had little sleep
The hotel was conveniently located for town and Beach. There was plenty of parking space. The breakfasts were good with good choice and quality. Mine host was very friendly and offered plenty of advice, enabling us to really enjoy our holiday.
Friendly Staff, children's outdoor toys, garden and outdoor seating, breakfast, size of room.
Duvet too small for bed. Mattress uncomfortable.
Good location with everything close by
Wifi not available in room
Lovely friendly greeting on arrival and throughout the stay. Very helpful when needed. Good position for getting to the town and the beach.
Excellent service,Very good locations Good choise to family
Good beds. Friendly staff.
No lounge area
Excellent for children, Best hotel breakfast ever, Peter and his family were great the whole place was spotless will defiantly recommend it and will go again. Dave.
Room cleanliness was poor. Bathroom very small with no mirror. Breakfast was just ok with some edible food. Dining room was under refurbishment with new(?) carpet laying on the floor. Overall mediocre experience
Good location. Good breakfast. Friendly owners.
Rooms felt damp. Knowhere to dry towels. Bar location weird.
the playground for the children
Very helpfull and polite staff. Very clean hotel. Nice breakfast. Looks after us very well.
All service was good.
The breakfast was excellent and the host was sociable.
My only issue was that I could not flush the tolilet. I was told to use a bit of force but maybe my hand was not strong enough. I think they should have got a plunber to adjust it. The cleaner must have done something each day as the toilet was clean each evening.
Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Location was easy reach to town. Nice friendly owners and made feel really welcome.
Shower water flow was poor, trickled out, in need of modernisation. Room was a bit small for the £80 we paid.
It's dog friendly so we took our two dogs with us. Very welcoming and happy to help. Extremely clean! As it's dog friendly I was expecting dog hairs etc but it was nothing less than a lovely welcoming hotel with great services! Thank you
Not enough towels
Resonable price for the location - £40 per person in a twin room bkfst incl.
Stayed for one night - woke up the next day covered in insect bites, groups of 3-5 bites close to each other and spotted a few blood marks on bed sheets so definitely bed bugs bites! After a few hours, bites count up to over 100 all over my body! I spoke to the hotel owner (Peter) about this and he said "In my 39 years of experience, I have never seen anything like that, it must be because you have finders in your mouth (i.e. bite your nails)" - What an approach to a customer service!!! STAY AWAY from this place, there is nothing good about it, customer service was awful, breakfast below average and most importantly, with an approach like his, I very much doubt he will invest in getting rid of bed bugs in his hotel!
I liked everything about the Palmerston, it was in an ideal setting, the room was very clean and comfortable, a perfect shower with plenty of hot water, breakfast was to die for, my daughter has allergies, she can only have gluten free bread and soya milk and even though we arrived late in the evening when most shops would have been closed, they managed to purchase the goods and were on the table in the morning. I would go back there again and recommend it to anyone. A very enjoyable stay.
Be made to feel welcome and relaxed..
Nothing to fault really.
The service was good and people was family.
No chairs in my room.
It's a nice place, especially the garden. The room it tidy and staffs there are so nice.
The breakfast was the highlight for us, so well cooked and such a variety for a three course breakfast. Lovely family welcome but Mr needs to be careful with national comments, no offence to us but others may not understand the humour.
Lounge needs to be bigger but improvements are ongoing .
Breakfast was excellent.
Place was in the middle of renovations, so lots of stuff piled everywhere.
