This 16th-century inn is in the beautiful Wye Valley, in the cider orchards between Hereford and Hay-on-Wye. It has free on-site parking, free Wi-Fi, a traditional bar and a modern restaurant.

Score from 40 reviews Wonderful
Surrounded by beautiful scenery but just a few minutes' walk from Hay-On-Wye's centre, this charming inn has a traditional wooden-beamed bar.
Score from 184 reviews Very good
A perfect stay for Hay - on - Wye. Arrived late - after last food orders- but a sandwich was no problem. Good ale. Very comfortable log cabin style accommodation
Nothing at all
Everything- accommodations - food-service -everything was A1
Nothing it was superb!!!
Food Balcony overlooking the fields, hills and chickens The friendly staff
The toilets connected to the bar
Beautiful accommodation with great views front and rear, exceptionally comfortable beds, little thoughtful extras like bottled water, pub next door. Wonderful family, with dog and free range chickens an added bonus.
Less keen on breakfast as we don't eat fry ups, though the muesli was perfect.
Chickens, 12th century inn, home cooked food, pretty village, lovely people, spacious and comfortable room, great shower, great price. Nothing not to like!
The ecolodge, and setting was beautiful. Breakfast was excellent.

The accommodation in the polish style lodge is excellent. The room and bathroom are both spacious, and quite. The hospitality tray including bottled water was a welcome after our journey. Meals taken at the Pandy Inn were excellent value for money and staff are attentive but not intrusive.
The Pandy Inn has a very relaxing atmosphere. The naturalness of the surrounding is reflect in the staff. Breakfast sausages are superb.
location, views from room, the log cabin type building, very old quaint pub and excellent food and wine -perfect. The best romantic getaway we have had for years!!!!
nothing only wished we could have stayed longer.
Very helpfull staff
The location is simply stunning and the rooms/cabins spacious with the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in at a hotel. Breakfasts good and evening meals in pub great. Will probably be back next year.
After a long day out could do with an armchair in the room to just sit for a while, altho' there is the bed it isn't always what is needed.
Lovely room with balcony looking over the fields the wooden building was quirky and different. It was very clean and the bed was comfy. Food at the pub was excellent both evening meal and breakfast and the local beer was very good too. We had a very enjoyable stay there.
The evening food service was rather slow but it was worth waiting for.
The chalet room was very bright, clean and tidy with a lovely rural view and the en suite was excellent.
The pub is very dark. The evening meal was average and the egg and bacon in the morning was very greasy.
Our first visit but certainly won't be our last! Room was excellent, fantastic attention to detail and lovely fixtures and fittings. Meal in restaurant was excellent and the leisurely breakfast a real treat! I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to revisit.
Idiosyncratic, welcoming, a rural idyll, a hideaway in deepest Herefordshire, chickens round the door, lovely staff, excellent food and service, fun and relaxed, not posh, snoozing in the sun on the balcony to our room, a proper hot shower, unwind and enjoy it.
Nothing not to like, but I am not a so called amateur reviewer who specialises in finding fault. If it had faults then they were submerged beneath the sheer pleasure of being there. Incapable of imitation, so don't anyone try !
Great location, lovely rooms. Food fantastic.
Located in stunning countryside, a jewel of a village, peace and quiet, accommodation in the wooden lodge was excellent, good food. Very near to Hay on Wye
We had originally booked for 2 weeks prior to our stay only to receive an unapologetic phone call on the morning of our departure to be told they had double booked and arranged for us to stay down the road. From other reviews this seems to happen quite often. We really wanted to stay in the wooden lodge so agreed to change our plans, rebook in room 2 with a balcony and field view. On arrival we were shown to room 3, no balcony, car park view. The owner simply showed us the room, end of, no welcome, what we know is that people buy people first and the hosts simply were not interested or in evidence for the duration of our stay and this could have made the difference between us recommending it to others, or not. This is the first time we have not been made to feel welcome which us a shame as the place is lovely.
The room and bed
The wait to get in room, the evening meal was cold and steak chewy and having to hang around to check out.
Amazing location with incredible views over the Herefordshire countryside. The owners were friendly and accomodating without being overbearing. The Polish-style wooden lodge is very unique and beautiful. Breakfast was also delicious, using local produce.
I wish I could have stayed longer!
The location was perfect. Service was excellent and the food was delicious.
The lighting in the room could have been better and the bed was not particularly comfortable but these are minor points.
Very comfortable clean room in purpose built chalet. Peaceful with lovely views. Good food. Friendly staff.
This was a lovely and relaxing place to stay

The inn and accommodation were great, the evening meal was excellent in the dining room.
The breakfast was very poor with poor service, it took ages once ordered and wasn't well cooked. The bacon in particular was cooked so much it was inedible.
Friendly staff, wonderful old inn, very comfortable room with great view from French windows, delicious food.
