The modern Zakopane style accommodation. The friendly staff and the great setting with ducks and chickens wandering around the garden.

The friendliness of the owners made us feel very welcome from the first moment we were there.

Everything. Great to have the dogs there. Everyone so friendly

For the price, I would have appreciated a lounge or some sofas (somewhere more comfortable to relax) in the pub itself.
This is a quiet and relaxing place to stay and eat while visiting the varied attractions of the Black Mountains, Hay-on-Wye and the Golden Valley. My bedroom in the modern garden building was comfortable with a huge en-suite bathroom, while the pub itself is old-fashioned rural. The staff and owners are helpful. I enjoyed one of the tastiest bacon-and-eggs I've ever had.

Accommodation and food.

Need to consider standard of meals ... Lamb Shank poorly presented and Fish Pie had to search for the fish! Breakfast was average. Shame, previous reviews very positive so perhaps just one if those things.
Beautiful room as advertised. Lovely village to enjoy walk etc. peacefully and just what we wanted.
March 2, 2015
The room had a few cobwebs, the tea, coffee and milk was not topped up on a daily basis and the room wasn't serviced at all.
Superb food, bedroom and view. Friendly bar staff.

We liked the room and the fact that we could bring our dog with us. We also loved the beers and the great atmosphere in the pub itself. Thank you it was just a wonderful short break and we will be back.

You need to be careful walking on the decking outside the chalets and use the matting provided. I slipped over twice!
Delicious cooked breakfast. Lovely wood-panelled rooms which were very warm in winter. Delightful chickens wandering around the premises. Very good hosts

The meal was beautifully cooked despite electric failure. Eating by candle light made it more festive and appropriate for the oldest pin in Herefordshire. Would certainly recommend for a place to stay

For us, what wasn't there to love. A quaint pub nestled in a small village that cooked nice food, that was value for money and served by friendly staff. Afterwards settling in 'the snug' with a bottle of red cosying up in front of a wood burner. The room was fantastic, very clean and within a purpose built spruce framed house behind the pub. The view from our 1st floor balcony room was a pleasure to wake up to, coupled with a sound nights sleep (except to gaze at the stars early on a clear morning) we loved the place. I can see this little gem being a regular 'get away' as it ticks many boxes for us. Pub. Food. Quaint. Scenery. VALUE.

Although there is wi-fi available in the pub, it isn't available in the bedrooms and we couldn't get any mobile phone coverage.
Delightful historic pub in an attractive rural village. Log fires, good food and local beers very welcome on a cold night. Accommodation in the separate eco-friendly timber Kakobane house was excellent and extremely comfortable.

Lovely room in chalet style building. Comfortable bed and away from traffic. The only noise at night was from owls.

Nothing really - Wifi would be nice in bedroom but certainly not essential.
Everything - Superb stay from start to finish Great little pub Brilliant food Fantastic staff Lovely room Superb view Very peaceful Cant ask for much more really - the Pandy is in a tiny village in the middle of nowhere which is exactly why I booked it - if your looking for something different dont book and dont complain there's nothing in th area. To all those who enjoy the quiet life like myself, this is the place for you.You wont be disappointed. Thanks for a lovely stay - definitely be back!!!

Extremely friendly and very efficient service. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Room and bathroom was a really good size and totally spotless. Idyllic setting overlooking the countryside.

Having wifi available only in the pub. Having it in your room would have been great but not that big a deal. People can live a day without me! Lol
Gorgeous view and comfortable atmosphere. We enjoyed all the family's animals and how patrons were allowed to bring their dogs into the pub.

Room was great and so was the pub food.

A perfect stay for Hay - on - Wye. Arrived late - after last food orders- but a sandwich was no problem. Good ale. Very comfortable log cabin style accommodation

I never bother writing reviews but I felt I had to make an exception for the Pandy Inn. It was the most magical and peaceful place I have ever stayed in. The owners were a lovely family who went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed without ever intruding on your privacy. The eco house and the views over the countryside were so wonderful I never wanted to leave my room!

Less keen on breakfast as we don't eat fry ups, though the muesli was perfect.
Beautiful accommodation with great views front and rear, exceptionally comfortable beds, little thoughtful extras like bottled water, pub next door. Wonderful family, with dog and free range chickens an added bonus.

Chickens, 12th century inn, home cooked food, pretty village, lovely people, spacious and comfortable room, great shower, great price. Nothing not to like!
